The only reason I wouldn't say Melo was guaranteed to come here is the fact that he stated more than once that he wanted to be able to get the last max extension under the old CBA. He might have favored the Knicks but if the Nets were willing to budge and give him that max extension, he would've went. Melo has shown twice to be about his money.

We would've ended up with Deron and still be in a sh*tty position due to his ankle injuries.
 
So we should have signed Billups for 14 mil and let him sit on the bench as a player coach? Baron Davis can do that **** for free.

Dwight Howard only wanted to play in Brooklyn, how many games did he play for Brooklyn?

Can you guys name the players we traded? If you can, how have they been since? Exactly, like I said. We gave up a first round pick for a top 10 player that wasn't guaranteed to come here.

Dolan has ****** us over by not trading Lin when the world was fooled by him. Trading a first round pick for Bargnani. Paying Novak a ridiculous contract. He's made so many bad moves but the Carmelo trade was far from bad.

Dude. They could have tried to trade Chauncey. He was a throw in in the Melo trade actually. But no, they amnestied him like dummies. What a waste. I'd take Billips' insight over Baron, I mean, he does have a ring. Unlike most of his teammates at the time.....

Dwight Howard should have been in Brooklyn. He screwed that situation up all by himself. Can't blame Brooklyn for that. Just look at his track record (I don't ever think he'll win a ring either FTR)

Players traded included Gallo (who got hurt last year) and Wilson Chandler. You keep thinking star players. Role players are just as important. Knicks give up draft picks damn near every year b
