2014 NIKE FREE 5.0 & FLYKNIT FREE 4/1/14

My buddy ordered a US size 10 in the Court Purple NSWs from Size UK - I finally got to try them on yesterday and the fit is very strange.

For reference, I wear a 10.5 in the vast majority of shoes I own - padded trainers, FL1s and 2s, other Free models, Kobes, etc., but I do wear a 10 in Racers and un-padded Trainers as I wear the thin no-show socks and prefer the snug fit.

Given this, I totally expected my buddy's size 10 NSWs to fit me perfectly, but they were a little roomy. Whenever a color way I really want drops I really think I'm going to go a full size down and get a 9.5 even though it'll feel weird doing so. (As for my friend, he's swimming in the 10s but is too stubborn to return them...)

Just thought I'd share since there seems to be growing interest with this particular model.

Anyone seen or know where to see the flyknit 3.0 (and 4.0) in person? I only have nike outlets near me so i'd need to have like finishline/footlocker stores carrying them. Also if anyone can snap some in person shots of the new flyknit 3.0 in black that'd be cool

I just checked with Nike about a release date on the FK Free NSW (what does NSW even mean?) and they said there isn't one.  I swear FNL had them on their release calendar for 4/1/2015 which is no longer there.  This is the shoe I've been waiting on all 2015.  FREAK!!!!

It's an extremely simple cw but that makes its perfect for a everyday shoe. I plan to do the same!

I'd prefer painting it though, not sure if I should try it. Is it possible to avoid covering the tongue tag when using black cotton? Something like this (left shoe) would be preferred

P.S. It's a paint job on the tongue, and it's a 7 on the left, 8 on the right. got 2 pairs, BNTL

I bought some stretchy cloth to sew it on the tongue. If you wont covering the nike tag you have to cut out a little part but I dont know if its looking good.

I picked the cloth on a local shop here in germany and sew it alongside.
I made a detailed pic-hope you see it.

I dont wanted to paint because even with Gac and Angelus it will peel of by time. So its on my Janoskis:frown:

Interesting, idk if I have the drive to do that but it looks so much better for sure & that's 1 of the 2 pairs I want to do it too so I'm inspired...but still lol. I can't wait to get a pair in the US

edit- are those the hot red or pink flashes?

What size do you usually wear? The sizing seems varied.

yeah, even before the new model came out almost all colorways were discounted close to, if not that price. And is costco the reason why the old flyknit 4.0/3.0 aren't on NDC with the discount?? lol when the new ones were put out I went to check the old one's prices and was let down hard.
 
Picked up a pair of the pink NSW from Nike Lab London. Came out to around $125 after getting the tax back because I'm not a EU citizen. The guy that rang me up even broke down the box for easier packing while traveling. That was definitely a first.
