2014 NIKE FREE 5.0 & FLYKNIT FREE 4/1/14

I think the fit might be slightly different. Also the new hex cut sole is suppose to more closely mimic natural foot movement. Nothing you can't live without if you don't have to upgrade. But if you're in the market for new pair, definitely try out the 2014.

Your current 5.0s actually have Flywire... The 2014s feel softer than the 2013s to me, and the new mesh feels a lot nicer. With sizing, I went up half a size.

I guess I'll just have to go to the store and try them out myself then.  Thank you.

Whoops, my bad then.  Didn't notice the Flywire on it.  Think I'll go to the store to try on a sample just to make sure my correct size.  Don't want to have the hassle of ordering it online and then shipping it back when its not the correct size.

NSWs came in and i feel like they run .5 big especially when it comes to the width.
yup.. sounds about right.. this is most likely because the tongue is not sewn on like the last couple of Free Flyknit models.. they are all mostly all wide by the toebox area but with the tongue not being sewn in, it's wider on the midfoot as well.. the other models with the tongue sewn in makes the midfoot more restrictive.. hope that make sense..

I'm more comfortable with the previous models (tongue sewn in) with a size 10 but these NSW and HTM's, 9.5 is perfect and I think I can even get away with a 9 if need be..

Did you opt for your true size or half down?

Pic request:
Could you or anyone do a few comparison shots featuring the NSWs and other Flyknits (Flyknit Lunar 1s, 2s, Racers, Free Chukkas, etc) comparing their length and width? I think this will give people, who are unsure of what size to order in these, a better idea of how they would fit...

sizes I prefer for  different knits, to give you an idea.. but I will try to take some pics

9.5 -- Racer, unpadded Trainer, HTM Lunar, HTM Free NSW

10 -- padded Trainer, L1/L2/L3, Chukka (Lunar), Free 4.0 (2014 model)

Here are my size preferences for FKs... comparing our preferences makes me more unsure hahaha

-0.5: Free (OG) Chukka

TTS: L1 / L2 / L3 / Lunar Chukka / Trainer (unpadded)

+0.5: Flyknit Racer / Trainer (padded)

I would go with the same size as your preferred Free OG Chukka.. I've tried those on and those do run about the same as Free NSW/HTM

Both are 9.5

Repped! WOW! I'm presuming your true size is a 9.5? I'd say that's a significant difference in length and width...

On a side note, I like how you blacked out the Flywire on your Racers!

thanks and yeah its a big difference. I might even say they run 1 full size big.

Nice.  Guess these will be later in the year.

Just got the grey pair off Nike EU for £77.60 with 20% code.

Posted this earlier in the thread, but figured it was relevant. Size 10 racer, size 10 NSW. I swapped for a 9.5 and still think I could have fit a 9 comfortably. For safest bet (especially if you have wide feet) I'd stay at 0.5 down. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the pics! My next question is how did you guys go about sizing with the Racers? TTS as well? I think this will give us a more detailed fit description.

tts on Racer for me.. I think you should order 0.5 size down and a full size down and see which pair you prefer and just return the other if you don't have a Nike store to try out a pair..

Size 10 on my racers, nsw's, and htms. I actually have a 9.5 on the tour yellow htm and they fit a little too snug. My free chukkas though think I should have sized .5 down.

Will definitely do. I just need them to drop on NDC... Paying $135 shipped would've been nice, but I didn't want to risk it since I was unsure of my size...

Has anyone seen any of the NSWs stateside at any non-Nike stores? Personally, I haven't... :nerd:
