You have to realize the synthetic upper isnt the same these days. They use that hard garbage synthetic leather hard as a **** on porno night crap.

My retro from 2002 or whatever year it was felt like real leather with real soft nubuck.

I think someone here who has um can confirm the uppers used on these are not the same as ogs or first retros

I actually thought my 2002 retros were made of real leather

I bought them in store and was able to use this code 1115DG51PDX, the store associate was like "dang it worked", i said yea

Out of curiosity, what pair is "B" in this pic? is that the white/black? I can't seem to find any good pics of them on google. Whatever it is, those would be copped

There is no way the uppers on these 2014 models is the same as the originals. It really is bottom of the barrel in terms of feel and quality.
 
I still have my og blk whites beat to **** but leather is nice built like tanks still have great cushioning and 100% wearable. These new retros are great to bring the glory days of jb but thats about it. We all know the pro wing quality nowadays so I'm thrilled they dropped at all
 
looks like champs is carrying the grey/white/black pair, but i think in store only cause i do see them on the site

That grey white pair isn't that bad to me. Not picking them up though, maybe after they get discounted a few times or something but no plans on pickin those up. They aren't bad though
 
I think they're pretty true to the originals. I had the wht/blk pair back in the day. The ONLY thing (and this is nit-picky) I don't like about these retros is the "bubbles" that have the Jordan branding on it. I swear....the originals back in '01 didn't protrude as much.
 
So many good pairs in that pic. The team 1s, the questions, the pippens, those Rodman's, all amazing.
 
So the white/navy/yellows aren't releasing???? Guess I dont need to return to this thread.
