2014 NFL Draft Thread

What more does Nick Foles have to do to get the approval of eagles fans as franchise QB? Anybody thinks Jadevon Clowney screams bust is kidding themselves. Anthony Barr will not slip past 10 after his 40 time is recorded. Just learning the nuances of the position.

As well as he played last season.. Teams didn't have a ton of film on him or chip.. So we'll see how next year goes with him going into the offseason as the guy

Plus a couple teams will take themselves out of the QB need group after this draft.. And you have teams already invested in young guys

I'm glad he proved me wrong.. And hopefully we have our QB for the next 10-15 years.. But I'm not going be unrealistic

^^ Nothing to me, the only thing he doesn't do is run well and he holds the ball too long sometimes and takes sacks instead of throwing it away...of course our schedule is gonna be :x :x :x next year and he will regress a bit with the INTs but he makes great decisions. Some people forget he has just now played the equivalent of a full season in the NFL, he's done with his "rookie year".

I'm liking Dee Ford and Attachou for us in round 1...maybe Buchanon from Wazzu in the second if he slips, Joyner from FSU is a beast but only 5-8 and Chip loves size, but playmakers are playmakers, look at Matthieu and though he's 2 in taller Earl Thomas

That eagles offense is so creative. And as slow as Foles is he has some escape ability because he was a basketball player his whole life it helps with being able to stop and go and flash elusiveness. His foot speed is awful but he's a smart football player.

As long as he's elusive in the pocket and can step up and feel the rush he's good.
yup.. just has to be able to move around in the pocket.. and get those 4-5 yards when it's open to scramble

decision making and accuracy are chip's biggest wants from his QB(s).. sure it's nice to have a mobile guy, but that's only to be able to make the most of open running opportunities

after we took barkley in the last draft he commented on the pick saying: "Repetitive  accuracy is the number one quality we're looking for in a quarterback.”

we're going with whoever the best OLB, S, CB and possibly NT, ILB or WR available when we draft

ILB: mosley is probably the only ILB that we'll look at in the 1st.. and target guys like KVN, christian jones or zumwalt later on in the draft

NT: nix will be considered in the 1st depending how the 1st shakes out

WR: i think evans is the only guy we really consider in the 1st

luckily OLB are deep this year: barr, mack, ealy, dee, shazier, attaocho and hubbard

His stock hasn't fallen even close to that. He backed up his junior campaign with a strong senior campaign. Dion Jordan went third overall last year just remember how valuable and coveted these guys have become. And Barr looks like a special one in the form of a Jason Taylor.

if he drops past 10, i'm sure the eagles will look at moving up.. we do it most drafts.. especially with the price being cheaper to move up in recent drafts

i dont think there is anyway he gets past 15

If he gets past ten it will also be a surprise.if he tears his ACL at the combine he will make it to 20.

mosley is the guy who i think will drop.. he's a solid ILB, but i dont think he's spectacular

everyone assumed kuechly would drop because everyone didnt think he was legit 6'3.. and assumed he would run slow (he ran 4.58)

he definitely isnt a better prospect than kuechly, but i've seen some rankings that have him in the top 10.. but it's hard with alabama guys because saban is so good on that side of the ball and they're deep at most spots

hell, haha and mosley will probably go in the 1st half of the 1st or at least before 20.. then you hubbard in the 2nd or 3rd.. then a corner in the 4th or 5th.. the SS in the 4-5.. and a de too

DeMarcus Lawrence is a good speed rusher, should be available in the second because of field issues.

What does everyone think of cj Mosley?
Love him in the leadership department. Him and AJ held the 2013 Bama team together.

Didn't rate him as highly as some draft experts with the top-10 slotting, but Mosley presents excellent value late first or early second like Hightower or Upchurch.

Took Deone Bucannon in the NT mock, but it got me thinking about how I haven't heard much at all about him leading up to the draft to this point.

Playing for Washington State probably doesn't help his national appeal, but I think this dude is one of those football player types that will succeed no matter what. Nose for the football and can hit with the best of them. Also a very good playmaker for playing the SS position.

Your aren't hearing much about any of the safeties outside of haha and Pryor

Any of y'all watching this all-star skills competition thing on espn2?!

Man Boyd and Logan Thomas are horrible
