2014 NFL Draft Thread

as long as we address OLB, S and CB in some fashion in the first 3-4 rounds, i'm cool..

then there are certain guys who if they fell, would obviously have to be considered outside of those 3 spots.. like say mike evans.. or if hageman somehow makes it to the 2nd

then there are only certain guys chip will be interested in, since he puts a priority on bigger/faster guys.. so i dont see guys like chris borland or jimmie ward

i would have loved to have gotten stanley jean-baptiste in the 3rd, but sherman has made him a good amount and money and he's going end up going in the 2nd probably

hopefully we can get DAT in the mid to later rounds.. he can take care of our returner needs and we can put him in the slot (since avant might be getting cut)

i got it like this:

1) barr, mack, haha, pryor, gilbert, dennard, nix, ford, ealy and evans

2) pryor*, martin*, mosley*,  hageman*, bucannon, attacho and KVN

*if by some miracle any of these guys drop

3) jean-baptiste, christian jones, telvin smith, marcus smith

4) dat, coleman, mccullers or ellis

any round after that: huff, colt and if a QB drops

Bortles is really projected as a 1st round pick?

Espn saying the texans gonna choose b/t him or Johnny

Edit: guess I'm blind cause I never saw that kinda potential from him.

Thoughts on Jordan Matthews ?

Jordan Matthews is a beast. Every Vanderbilt game I watched this year (or last year I guess) he popped off the film. He's got great size and great hands. He probably won't be a first rounder, but he'll be a great pick on the second day. Moreover he's the cousin of the GOAT Jerry Rice. I'd love him for the 49ers.

I kinda agree with you DSA, but you gotta look at the other teams that need QBs: if you don't take a chance on your guy, they will.

Jacksonville, Oakland, Cleveland, Minnesota, Houston, POSSIBLY Arizona/St. Louis. Unless there is an absolute, sure-fire non-QB STUD waiting for you at your pick... it's worth the risk.

Houston has the defense, running game, and TEs/WRs in place for a young QB.
