2014 NFL Draft Thread

Dear God,

Please deliver Johnny Football to Chip  Kelly & the city of Philadelphia... we'll take Wiggins too if you don't mind.

I want MM over JF.

Co-sign Wiggins though. Guarantee Sixers don't get the #1 despite the putrid roster and impending doom of a record.

Nooooooooooo.. Especially in the 1st.. Maybe 2nd round.. Would love him in the 3rd.. I really think his best case is a rich man's Jeff Garcia

As was said above, I too want mariota over him.. Or hundley.. A guy who has size and better arm strength

Manziel, isn't the biggest dude and he will take hits.. And on top of that he can be a bit reckless at times

Mariota has size, speed and would fit seamlessly in chip's offense.. And dude is 6'3-4 215ish

I like Mariota but I did notice during last years Stanford & KState game is when he's getting hit you can rattle him. Stanford kept him bottled up & State didn't have the offense to keep up.

Which is why I'm watching closely at UW and at Cardinal.

Fearful Ducks and MM will lose one of those two.

Interesting stuff going on with these new trades.

Baltimore sends a 4th and 5th round pick to the Jags for OT Eugene Monroe.
Pitt then send a late round pick or two to Arizona for OT Levi Brown.

Pitt already had dealt their third round pick to the Browns.

Cleveland is going to have a ton of draft picks, and the Steelers and Ravens will have 4-5 total each.
Meanwhile, the Jags get an extra couple mid rounders, almost assured to get the #1 overall, as well as the top pick in each round, they're lookin at 3 of the top 65 picks, with 4 picks in rounds 4 and 5. That's a helluva way to rebuild your roster.

as a start, then whatever they do with the next 6 picks they have, could have an actual NFL offense in place fairly quick. If I were them, I would sell MJD immediately for whatever they can get, get more picks.

Steelers backin themselves into a corner giving up picks already. Still have a 1 and a 2, maybe they trade down to add an extra pick, but they have so many holes, and an 0-4 start, they're giving away picks that will come at the top of those rounds. :smh:

i really dont get the move for the steelers..

and i'm curious to see if the ravens can resign monroe

how many teams will be looking to draft Qb's in the 1st 2 rounds this year? could be almost 11 QB's with 1st and 2nd round grades.

The Matthews family at it again.

i guess it really depends on where the guys drop (pats could pick someone to eventually take over for 36 years old brady).. and waht teams decide to blow things up (if the steelers decide to rebuild)

probably easier to name the teams you know for sure wont take a QB

The usual.

I think we see teams like the Vikings, Jets :nerd: Titans, Bucs, etc take QB's early to replace the bad ones they already drafted. It's the new CBA too. No more 70 million dollar deals, if Ponder, Geno Smith, Freeman etc don't work out, draft another and only pay him 20 mil or less and move on quickly.

Think how long the Jets held onto Sanchez hoping, waiting, praying he would grow, same with Flacco to an extend.

not sure if you trolling or joking CP but zero shot the jets take a QB

I got

jags

Arizona

Vikings

tampa bay

browns

maybes

Raiders

san diego

Houston

titans

pitt

rams

philly

if everyone enters teams like the bears, New England and Cowboys could find great picks in the 3rd round for QB's of the future

Why exactly is there zero shot the Jets take a QB? Carolina took a QB in rd 2 the year before they drafted Cam. What makes Geno so special that couldn't happen again?

I'm not saying the Jets are DEFINITELY taking a QB, but they absolutely COULD take one.

I mean really, you have Pitt, San Diego, StL, Houston, they all have better QB's than Geno Smith, it's not crazy to think the Jets might want to upgrade if they are at 7 and Mariota, Hundley, and Manziel are sittin there. You wouldn't take one of those three over Geno?

I don't know. I think I would look at Mariota and Hundley, still not sure on Manziel, especially New York, especially top 10. I might stick with Geno on that one.

hoping the jets trade up to the top 3 and draft logan thomas. do it, rex :pimp:

wouldn't put it past them

Exactly. To rebuild. Not because he isn't a quality receiver. J-Ville can easily get a third, maybe second for Shorts.

in the event that they go quarterback in the first round what better than two young weapons?

you can pick up a running back with those extra 4 and 5's from the ravens . patch up the interior

line with your third rounder and get a good blocking/recieving tight end in the second

and give bridgewater the best chance to succeed early
