2014 NFL Draft Thread

Im sorry If ur a bucs fan and you feel like you need a QB you don't know much about football.

Glennon played well enough to at least see what the future holds. Nobody in that organization is thinking QB in the 1st round

Bucs are a very talented team that lost alot of close games and I do know that Mike Glennon had his struggles in the 2nd half.
But the guy showed more than enough after being forced to play by week 6 (I think it was)that he can be a good starter in the NFL.

Megatron and Watkins on the same team would not be fair for the league. Stafford would have NO excuses at that point

i know glennon was serviceable, i watched him. i just think jfb will have success and i would rather it be with the bucs... glennon is just, well boring i guess. as a fan i can think like this tho  ... he def has glennon beat in the competitive/ldrshp dept. ... i mean u really think glennon can take tampa to the big show?? i doubt it. then again johnny could be a total bust, i just lean towards not. the guy overplays a lot, but i would rather try to reel a player in than push him to be more. if that makes sense.

johnny in the first, cooks in the 2nd would be :pimp:

and for the record, "irregardless" is not a word and never has been/will be

I feel like the Cassel signing means Minnesota goes defense at 8 or trades down and goes defense.

So, it's either they don't like any of the projected 1st round QB's or they think the guy they like won't be there. My hope is that they still like Teddy and draft him if he falls.

Guess I'm jumping to assumptions also but I'm just a believer in a proven guy over an unknown. He proved he can start gotta at least let him get a whole 16 games under his belt.

Glennon won't ever be anything more than average and I think everybody knows that. It's depressing. He's Kyle Orton in his "prime" at best.

I'd rather take my chances on one of the most dynamic, dominant college quarterbacks I've ever seen. Johnny Football might party and chill with Drake and **** off the field, but I have no question about his work ethic. He'll listen to criticism from his coaches. Jeff Tedford can help him out.

Same thing could have been said about the guy in your avy....but he's doing just fine.
While I agree they both share a lot of the same fundamental flaws Kap had all the QB measurables you want - 6'4, 230 lbs and has cannon arm.

johnny can only dream of making a pass like this

60 yds+ on a rope

Kap landed in a perfect situation with a deep team and head coach that specializes in QBs too. Johnny will have to land in a similar situation if he will ever maximize whatever potential he has.

Bucs are in a tough spot. Depends as usual on what the front office and Lovie see in the QB's who are projected to go early. I think you have to give Glennon another shot because he still shows potential and the Bucs can still shore up a few other spots on their roster. If I'm a GM in a position like that then I make sure to sign a quality veteran to wait in the wings if Glennon doesn't put it together.

I think they're in a good spot. There will be a good pass rusher, QB, or WR available and those are some of their biggest needs.

I know I'm a Kap enthusiast but who else in the league is making that throw????

Aaron Rodgers and Jay Cutler only ones I can think of. Everyone else needs more air under that pass to get it there. frickin laser beam.

I meant specifically with the tough spot. Their roster is very good with all things considered, but when you don't have the QB to tie it all together you either stab at hopefuls or always sign journeymen.

They'll get their WR in this draft, but Glennon is still a question mark and anyone they draft would conceivably be a question mark, so is trading one for another the smart thing to do when they get an immediate impact player at another position?

Flacco can definitely make that throw, but not at that velocity or trajectory. He would put way more air under it. That was a 63 yard straight-line laser. Kap throws bombs like a rightfielder throwing to homeplate lol.

If CK can make the throw then Flacco can make the throw

There's an elite level arm strength group who can throw those kinda balls

Kap, Vick, Flacco, Rogers, Cutler, Stafford, Newton......Ponder? ( )
