2014 NFL Draft Thread

In the year 2021 teams will just pick their players before the 1st game like it's 3rd grade kickball

The Falcons are going to trade up to #1 to grab Clowney.

The Niners are going to trade up to #5 to grab Evans.

So sorry I didn't include this extremely deep information that was already talked about possibly happening in previous posts right before mine.

Go on, amazing posters. Post your breathtaking mocks.

By the way, FinallyFamous....I think I could post Austin Sefarian-Jenkins and Michael Sam going #1 and #2 and as long as I put Manziel going to the Browns you would think it's a great mock.

You also posted the Browns possibly taking Watkins at 4 and getting Manziel at 26 the last time I remember you taking a swing at what the Browns could do with their picks......make up your mind.

@nfldraftscout: I've actually heard from a few NFL people about Bridgewater having skinny knees. Fear it leaves him unprotected to hits there. @RobKramar

Smh at this bridgewater fall. Never seen anything like it with a player that didnt get into trouble pre draft or injured

Clausen fell pretty far but he was never considered the #1 overall pick but def a high pick

I dont understand why these teams so stuck on size of players. I seen time and time again smaller guys have no problem adjusting to the NFL. Also can somebody please explain to me why qb size matters? I can see height but weight?

Ever see a 180 lb QB?

How often have smaller framed QBs been out with injuries? (Vick, Garcia etc)

Size has merit but in the case of Bridgewater when he is the exact same size as David Carr it seems to be something else behind it. I'll let you figure that out

Chad Pennington was 6"3 230 (same weight as Bortles)...  I'm not sure there is really a correlation between body weight and injuries.

We all know Vick's frame probably wasn't the main reason he's always injured...  It's his play style.

Do u not understand the type of injuries I'm talking about? From taking hits. Chad had shoulder problems. Didn't think I had to spell it out

Yeah, I do...  I'm just saying that when you are talking about a player being injury prone overall, I don't see any evidence that a heavier player is going to avoid injuries or a lighter player is going to suffer more of them.  No matter what the cause.  Vick could have been 250lb and he'd still be hurt all the time since he refuses to protect himself on the field.

Wilson obviously is 5'11 and only weighs 206 and has never been injured from a hit or otherwise.  Roethlisberger is huge and has suffered numerous injuries from hits.

Ok I'll Slow it down.

If u have 20 250 lb QBs and 4 have had issues with physically being injured on the field and you have 4 200lb QBs and 3 have a history of being injured on the field wouldn't you say that there could be something to the size being a factor?

Show me actual numbers over time and not just a random selection you picked and I'll agree with you.

Yeah I get what you saying gunna put cant your argument be negated by a great o line? And play style. Not trying to argue just trying to start a debate because I get so tired of people killing players because of size.
