2014 NFL Draft Thread

Is Khalil Mack a better prospect than Dion Jordan was at this time last year?  Are they similar?

Yeah that is correct, and it concludes on Saturday with 4-7.

Different players, but Jordan had the shoulder injury so couldn't do a ton in workouts.. Mack definitely has more buzz going into the draft than Jordan did

Most folks penciled Jordan into the eagles because we were moving to a 3-4 and obviously the chip kelly connection.. But most draft folks seemed to think that was slightly reaching at 4.. But they also didn't think the draft was that strong mainly because the lack of top end QB or once in a lifetime WR or cb
 
I don't think the Texans keep the top pick, the Rams trade their top picks every year, the Jags and Raiders have a whole bunch of needs and could benefit from trading back a lil, the Vikings still need a quarterback, the Lions really want one of the top receivers, Bucs apparently want Manziel.......idk why you're thinking none of them are going to wanna trade.
 
I think there is a chance the Lions look for a trade partner for Suh if they determine that he won't re sign a deal there. Detroit might then look to take Donald in the first.
 
I'm not sure the Texans have much leverage to trade the 1st pick unless someone really wants Clowney; maybe the Falcons

Every year teams want to trade down...  The question is whether anyone will want to trade up.
 
Even after a trade up like that 49ers would have more picks left over than most teams had to start with. Dont see it happening unless Sammy slips to 5, tho. Expecting a trade into the teens for Odell Beckham JR or Brandin Cooks.

I've already convinced myself Clowney will be a Falcon. They'll trade whatever they need to.
 
You know the pre draft rumors are always wrong.

Watch the Lions trade up for Clowney.
 
How much more guaranteed money Romo got on that deal?

Skip probably gonna have an hour long segment on First Take tomorrow about that picture alone.

was listening to something the other day.. and they were talking about draft prospects who came back for their senior year and their stock slipped a little as a results.. and barr was mentioned in regard to jordan

his junior year he had 13.5 sacks (which led the nation), which was his first year on defense.. so i wonder if he would have came out, would he have been rated ahead of jordan

also, have to factor in that jordan was limited in workouts because of his shoulder injury
