2014 NFL Draft Thread

Why draft so many RBs? Don't be dumb. If you can't answer that question after watching us play twice a year, and with what I just explained to you, I don't know what to tell you.
That you run the ball a lot?  I don't get how that explains why the 49ers love drafting mediocre RBs tho

Take a RB every year and still relying on Frank Gore to do everything.

What medicore RBs are you talking about?

Hunter was drafted to be a #2. Dixon was drafted for ST. Lattimore was drafted for the future.

EVERY RB we've drafted has been productive other than LMJ. So now you're not supposed to draft for depth? You're not supposed to draft for the future? Come on man, you sound like you JUST started following football, and based on the team you follow, I'm not surprised.

And stop defending every negative thing someone says about the 49ers bro. They aren't paying you, they've been successful for a few years now. You don't have to get butt hurt over what people on NT say about a draft.

And based on the last decade, I'm not surprised.

Read the post above... I feel the same way.

Last I address of that.

I didn't make that Running Back list...

Hunter is a fine backup, Gore is still good and Lattimore is the future.

You don't seem stupid to me... so in your opinion what is the bigger need WR, CB or RB?

CB by far, and Ward is going to cover the slot.

WR and RB are both even, but given out run first mentality I say RB is a higher priority.

In the case of the Niners, it's BPA...They did just get Stevie, so WR concern is somewhat lessened. You don't just draft a CB though because you need it. I think from what was available, they've done great.

If we want to discredit them then I would say it's because they didn't leverage all the picks to move up in the first round to get a bona fide, week 1 player of impact, if anything.

Ah yes, GREAT rebuttal. You sure showed me!

And I'm not defending every negative comment said about the Niners. You guys just aren't making sense.

Speaking of Corner... do wonder where Rashaad Reynolds is going to go. I like that kid.

jets fans be like, "who the ****?!?!"

most of us are like that as well

That Dexter guy was a 6th round graded CB. But then again, Rex coaches defenses up pretty well.

Probably from facing the burning garbage they put out there at QB during practice.

We run the ball over half the time....don't you think we would like to restock what we do over 50% of the time or did that just slip your mind? There is no definite CB or WR left in this draft. Now we go BPA and pick a CB or WR if we really like him...no need to reach. This team is built around its front 7 and o line anyway.
