Anyone Ever Tore/Sprained Their Achillies' Before?

You originally brought your idol up. Nothing's wrong with me at all papi. Not sure how replying to a clownish post on a public fourm that caught my eye off how foolish it sounded only to realize it came from a member who routinely says some of the most rediculous stuff known to man would be considered following them. My bad ill just ignore foolish posts from now on.
i originally brought Kobe up? Please tell me where in this thread did i bring up Kobe? I think something is wrong with you dude. Take a hike.

Only if you join me on the hike and share a box of teddy grahams with me.

Refer to your first post about Kobe getting paid while tearing his acl or whatever you said.

In reference to OP injury though is it not? Where did i bring up Kobe for something that is not related?

lol you are funny dude

If u knew anything about kobe ud know he hates losing so he would do whatever it takes to win

Also remember Jordan dome? The greatest were all goin ham playin pick up ball

That's an assumption. How do you know for sure Kobe or any pros go 100% at pick up game just because they hates to lose lol?

He said or she said stories doesn't count. Unless you were there to witness any betting between the pros. I doubt they were going 100% at it.

Steve Kerr once beat Jordan in practice. I doubt Jordan was playing 100% to win lol.

i have eyewitnesses evidence word to abc 7

So you're saying a normal and healthy achilles just can tear that easily? I think not. Either it was already weakened or something was wrong with it to begin with thus a tear would happen when torque is applied. Age also play a factor. Once again. Don't know why you get all defensive at me. All i said was it sucks to tear an achilles in a pick up game. Which is true. Once again my condolence to your injury.

OK, man. I'll be sure and tell my super experienced , highly regarded surgeon frrom UCLA that ACBoyz from Niketalk thinks he gave me some bad information about Achilles' tears.

And I appreciate you backtracking and acting like you didn't say anything I should be defensive about. But I''m not sure that anyone would interpret "getting hurt paying pick-up ball. SMH. At least Kobe getting paid," as a positive comment.

But thanks for your contributions to keeping this thread active.

Sorry to hear you're sore, but still good to know you're out there walking.

By the way, sidenote, as a native Californian who doesn't travel much, I had the chance to walk around in Manhattan once close to Christmas and thought it was awesome. :smokin With some light snow flurries coming down, it was pretty easy to get into the holiday spirit. The 80 degree whether we're having right now in LA doesn't exactly make it feel like Christmas.

I'm 9 months out man I better be walking

For those of you guys that went the surgical route, is your tendon shaped nothing like before? Mine seems fat and thick and the contours really aren't there in the back of my foot

That's how mine feels right now, but I figured it might thin out and get more normal over time and with physical therapy. Maybe not.

Mine is thicker than the non-repaired side. It get's a little better with therapy but to really get is down you need to get a lot of scar tissue massages.

did it hurt you guys? a kid tore his in P.E. when i was high school and hearing his screams :x

It hurt, but not as badly as I would have expected based on things I'd heard. I didn't scream or fall to the ground in pain. Pain-wise, it wasn't worse for me than a badly sprained ankle. In fact, it was because the pain wasn't worse that I didn't think I tore it at first.

So what did your surgeon say then? Your achilles just popped because your time was up?

I wonder how come a healthy achilles can tear easily without external force, sudden torque or sign of deterioration? I would like to hear the answer.

And I said is it sucks tearing your achilles in a pick up game. Which is 100% true. And thus afterward i also said my condolences. How you take it is out of my control.
