NFL Week 3 In Review...

I'd put the Falcons first health dependent. but when healthy Cruz, Nicks and Randle are up there. definitely a top three core. How many other teams could really have 3 receivers over 100 yards like the Giants did this year?
I'd go:

ATL

DEN

GB

NYG

Other than the San Fran playoff game I don't remember him getting touched like that. Either way it'd had to have been decent. And 07 playoffs through 09 he had a beastly o-line. And the other stuff as well. Wasn't wrong about that.
They were dead last in Rushing, and one of the worse in pass blocking.

As far as the Defense goes, they played well but what Super Bowl Defense didn't.

0] Dalton's not buns.

And out of all the QB's you could wish for it's Stafford you mention?  He's okay and puts up numbers in that offense because he throws 46 damn times a game.

Dalton = Schaub

I used Stafford as an example. Stafford can throw just as many pics as Dalton. Dalton can't make some of the throws Stafford can. Hell if we had Jay Cutler we'd be right there with Denver.

Alright, way wrong about 11'.

How are they both at 0-3 now though? Serious question.

By the way, how bout the AFC being 9-1 vs the NFC thus far. Obviously it's early.

SF is better than what they've showed the last two weeks. That boy Eric Reid looking like Sean Taylor lite. Big, fast, really good range.

Slow all the way down my dude.

Bigger than the defense?

In 05? Probably not, 08? His importance was right there even with how good that D was. Dude was scrambling and making plays with that offensive line that let everyone through (that was the first year of this issue that continues today). I'm not sure any other QB could play on those teams and make 3, win 2. But regardless it isn't an either/or question, both were vital to the success and we really never will know how well a different QB would've done

I don't about big Ben but your 100% right about Eli not playing well. The Offense line is the worst it's been in years, but he still making bad decisions.

It just irritates me when people say Eli was carried to his second ring.

Ok, so same question. Why are they both (or just Pitt) 0-3 now?

Cool. Least you responded. Dudes never gave me that.

Last point, but i don't know how this is a surprise to some of yall. Last year in the last 4 games with playoffs on the line Eli was missing passes all over the place, Ben was throwing INT TD's. I think they both went 1-3 (I think ATL shutout the Giants too).

Glad to see it continuing. :smokin

Typical Jet fans on the radio  kill the Dolphins as overrated and lucky but praise the Jets and talk about how they should be 0-3.

Aaron Rodgers is 5-17 in games decided by 4 points or less? Yikes.
fraij? i know you've got a stat or something in response to this

There's a lot of games mainly from 08-10 that Rodgers took the lead late in the game and the Defense then in turn gave up the lead in the last minute or lost in OT... I'll try to find the breakdown... A heavy amount of those L's are from 2008-2009 with a couple more in 2010 specifically in the middle of the season when Rodgers was concussed vs Washington on the final drive (or OT? cant remember) and they lost by 3, then the next week lost in OT to the Dolphins.

Rodgers played like **** on Sunday and still had the team burning clock down to 2-3 minutes when McCarthy decided to go for it on 4th down and Franklin fumbled and Cinci took it back.

Packers are a front-running team though.  Yesterday is not an example however the offense was never really in tune at any point.  Cant imagine any QB would be pleased being down 0-14 before even calling a play.

Not saying there isn't something left to be desired because its a fact he can cut up a defense given the opportunity but for some reason he doesn't have that "magic" in the 4th that a couple others seem to possess.

Coordinator that doesn't fit personnel, offensive line that is pushed back 3 yards every play, WR core that is average outside of AB (though a healthy Heath helps that), RBs that wouldn't be in the league on most teams (to be fair AP would struggle with this line), and multiple turnovers (Ben has a hand with this, even with other issues listed). Team is just in that awkward transition phase where some remaining pieces are there but not many. Happens to all except Tom and Peyton because they really are that good

yeah i mean i dont think it's saying that rodgers isn't great or anything. just an interesting stat. i know the pats have a similar record in tight games for similar reasons. that's usually how front running teams lose.

Aaron Dobson is going to be nice.

That Packers/Bengals game was wild. 14-0, 30-14, 34-30. :wow:

Tennessee confuses me forever. I watched a drive where they gave to CJ, gave to CJ, gave to CJ, gave to CJ, gave to CJ as they marched right down the field.
Then I never saw "gave to CJ" no more. Huh?

How does Hakeem Nicks have 1 look, all day?

Swear to God the Bears employ all former receivers on their defense, cuz I have never seen a team create turnovers like they do.

I did not think the Colts had that in them. Major props to them.

Now it's get Geno some weapons and make a run in 2-3 years. Infinite lulz.

Lose 38-0, whatever. Toss one ball at Nicks, ok. But give up a buck twenty to DeAngelo freakin Williams? Commit that. :x

I don't understand why folks are confused about the Browns shoppin Gordon. He is ONE drink, smoke, mistake away from sitting a full year. He's Pac-Man Jones status. One mistake, and he's gone anyways. You sell high, FAST. You absolutely flip that kid if you can. Why is that hard for folks to comprehend?

Jordan Cameron tho, don't flip that dude.

Jimmy Graham is a freak of nature. It's unfair letting Brees have him and Sproles in the same offense.

Jimmy also paints twice for the U.

Gotta love NT  Cowboys win, and its "They were supposed to beat the Rams", Cowboys lose, its lulz for days. People will underestimate the Rams, despite the fact that their oline hadn;t given up a single sack dating all the way back to December of last season, and our dline was able to get 6. No one is claiming we are winning chips after beating the Rams, but the Cowboys hatred is that deep so continue to spew a bunch of garbage that no one has claimed

Just also love pointing out that when Romo was running for his life for 17 weeks straight in 2012, it was "Romo is trash/throws game ending pics/ horrible QB" etc. When Eli is throwing INTS all over the place, he gets the oline excuse. LOVE IT!

On that note:

-- Cowboys defense completely dominated a good Rams offensive line that hadn't given up a sack since last year. Everyone on defense was exceptionally fast and attacked the ball with quickness and efficiency.

-- Rod Marinelli hiring is vastly underrated.

-- Romo has the highest completion percentage in the NFL with 72% and only has one turnover on the season.

-- Demarco Murray still has poor vision, running into blockers way too frequently.

Rest of the league:

-- Can't expect Eli to be able to deliver behind that atrocious o-line.

-- Coughlin should not be on the hot seat; plenty of football left

-- Terrance Newman still making plays after leaving Dallas; typical...

--  Phillip Rivers

-- Miami is quietly 3-0 and vastly underrated. Love the fact that they are flying under the rader.

-- We are only 3 games in. ******** started 3-6 last season and strung 7 in a row. Anything can still happen. But I pray that the end of the 'read option' QB nonsense is amongst us

Typical Jet fans on the radio  kill the Dolphins as overrated and lucky but praise the Jets and talk about how they should be 3-0.

So they let AMP on the radio out there huh? That sucks.

"Just give Geno some weapons, 2-3 years, that run....."

Still don't understand how this bamma RG3 has played baseball and doesn't know how to slide

THis is the best (physically) he's looked all season. Got a glimpse of the "old" RG3 on that 25 yard run he had in the 4th. Just had to go an **** things up tho :smh:

It's his mental errors that are killing things. The INT...the fumble...SMH. Skins HAD great chances to come away with the W yesterday. 0-3, but it's not the end of the world.

We already have three QBs with over 1000 yards passing. Peyton only needs 231 tonight to make it four.

There is only one player averaging over 100 rushing yards per game (Shady McCoy).

I don't see Thompkins really doing much of anything man. If he was so good at getting open he'd be catching more than 4 of the like 16 targets a game Brady is throwing his way. Edelman is the only guy on that team getting space right now. When Gronk and Amendola come back maybe things will be different but right now I just don't see it. And Dobson is ******g trash.

talk to me, goose...
