Rihanna is NOT supposed to be the Madonna of our time. Rihanna has no musical talent. She can't sing or dance. She has super talented people writing and producing her songs and people love her image/style and that's why she's huge. It's impressive how big she's become for someone who's so bad at music. Come to think of it, that's her most impressive talent and she's damn good at it.

Well i'm just speaking on the music. I'm not speaking on talent. I for one don't think Madonna is very talented either but i've never been a fan. And people compare her celebrity right now to that of Madonna. There's some parrallel's. While there wasn't social media in the 80's and 90's there were magazine editorials and tabloid's and the same way Rihanna uses twitter/instagram is how Madonna was viewed on those same tabloid's. There's some parrallel's there. I don't care for any of them.
As far as Rihanna being a product of her writers/stylists/producers I don't disagree. But she does have a "it factor" that can't be coached or taught. Some just have it some don't. Most DON'T.

Come on bruh, Janet was a far better performer, made better music (Jimmy Jam Terry Lewis
) and had a better voice.Not to mention Janet was way sexier, I've wanted her since I was 5, would've given up all my action figures and Sega Genesis to lick the sweat off her stomach.
Not going to say I wouldn't smash Rih but she really isn't that sexy, her status does a lot for her attractiveness because she's lacking in a lot of areas.

I don't know about that. Maybe its hard to tell nowadays because of social media and TMZ but Janet Jackson on her worst day was selling 6 million records in the US alone in her prime. Rihanna hasn't EVER sniffed that. Different era's but in her prime Janet had sold over 100 million records worldwide.
Rihanna to my knowledge has never gone double platinum in the US. I mean props to her. I thought her career would've been over. She's made so many mistakes in her career that had Beyonce or anyone else with credible talent had done it? They would've been on some reality show trying to make money. But no matter how many f up's and mistakes Rihanna makes it seems to help her stay relevant.
I don't see it. I feel like Janet got by off her talent and being a Jackson. Rihanna is getting by strictly from her image and her catchy hooks.

See I know her for that My Sweet 16 ish and I always wondered who she was....I know she had the STar Trek deal on there but she was having this big lavish birthday like she was a celeb already. I guess the Star Trek affiliation got her on that show.

She got with Star Trek after. Her family has some industry connects.
But she's talented, she can dance and choreograph. Her singing is ehhh to me, but compared to some of the people out like Rihanna, I guess she can sing.

performing puts Janet miles ahead, but I'd actually say that Rihanna is the better singer IMO. She's gotten much better over the years, not the best but a definite improvement throughout her career, if we're talking singing i'd put Janet a few clicks aboves Ciara voice wise. Janet Jacksons singing was never her selling point

I'm taking Teyana because from what I've heard from ****** that know her she's definitely freaking off and her body is crazy. Hand over her mouth though shorty sound like a man with her speaking voice.
