New Girl Appreciation Thread Vol. I can't read a ruler

After watching her in True Detective, glad to see Alexandra Daddario back on tv last night.

I'm glad Nick and Jess finally broke up. Show hasn't been good with them together.

On another note, True American :pimp:

The show has still been very funny to me.. the addition of Damon Wayans has been awesome as well.

Story wise, I didn't like the break-up. It had to happen.. Ross and Rachel broke up after about a full season of being together.. you don't keep a sitcom couple together forever. Obviously Nick and Jess will end up together, but you've got to do the big break-up. The problem is they didn't really build to this. Obviously Nick and Jess have had their problems, but it didn't ring true. They acted the hell out of it, but it felt abrupt. Maybe that was the point, but oh well.

Winston being Winston is what is keeping the show afloat..

But Cece is still :nthat:

Winston and Schmidt were the only two good things about this episode.

Fox has done a terrible job with the scheduling of shows. New Girl hasn't been on since the 25th of March, was on yesterday, and the next episode doesn't air until another 2 weeks.

i lost it when nick did the monkey impression

Still love the show, but I agree with the scheduling.. it's always taking these 2 weeks breaks after every other week.. kind of annoying. Glad it got picked up for next season though.

Yeah FOX ****** up the scheduling Agents of SHIELD style.

I thought the ep where Jess and Nick broke up were the finale for a few weeks.

i think the episode gaps are because its between sweeps.

apparently, Feb and May, are two of the four sweeps months, so programs will go hard during those times and ease up in the months between, or so it seems.

Yeah, they're counting on sweeps, so the schedule and timing suffers because of it.

The long delay between episodes kind of hurt my interest in the show a bit. Usually I watch New Girl live or immediately after it airs, but I waited a few days this time. It's still a great show and one of my favorites, but the breakup felt contrived.

Oh i coulda swore they skipped a week or 2 this month lol nvm

Edit: they just skipped one week, bout to catch last nights ep

I liked the season finale.

Winston out there being a fool.

That scene of Coach trying to demonstrate.

Schmidt's antics of trying to be sweet to Cece. She's over there just trying to find signal.

I'm excited about the whole bunk beds and Schmidt and Nick being roomies again. Hope next season doesn't have anything to do with Nick and Jess as much. Also hope the writers have some kind of direction of what they want to do next season.

While I didn't like the break-up, the show ended strong.

Oh, and Damon Wayans will be back full time again next season. He'll be a regular cast member :pimp:

Season 3 had a couple weak parts and season 2 was still consistently funnier/better, but I'm still enjoying this show all the same.

I felt Season 3 was hit or miss. Maybe I had higher expectations because the writing in Season 1 & 2 was much better.

I have to get used to Coach. I really liked Winston when he took Coach's spot after the Pilot.

It was definitely more hit or miss.

And the breaks between episodes hurt my interest in the show.

I love Damon Wayans Jr., and I'm still mad Happy Endings got cancelled  so I'll take any excuse to get him on TV every week. Winston has really become the best character on the show. He can be the weird one, the authoritative one, whatever he needs to be depending on the situation.. plus Ferguson is the best :pimp:
