Yeah, they were smart to write out Coach rather than just recast. They've mentioned him a few times, but I wish he could just return full time.

Schmidt is the best character on the show. I hope the writers didn't just kill the Cece and Schmidt story with what happened tonight. I think him trying to break up Nick and Jess is going to be epic.

Not a fan of the Nick/Jess relationship. I think they're better apart.

Loved tonight's episode. Probably my favorite of the season.

- Winston trying to grip the basketball and introduce himself with braids.

- the joke Winston made in the taxi. "Did you hear the joke about the two white guys and the two black guys who walked into the police station? The two white guys came out..."

- Coach definitely needs to stay. Damon Wayans Jr. brings another element to the group. Makes me wonder how funnier it would've been if he never left for Happy Endings.

- Taye Diggs wasted no time and went straight into the bed . For a second, I thought Cece was gonna take him from Jess.

I'm surprised the TV universe didn't implode... there were three black men featured heavily in an episode of network TV. I was shocked

Taye Diggs was awesome... Zooey's reaction to him saying "Brazil", when he invited her into the bed with his foot

Coach was great as expected. It was cool since they didn't get into his character as much in the pilot, they had more freedom to choose where they wanted him to go. He definitely represented the group at their younger, more reckless ages.. and Damon Wayans is great at playing the emotional highs and lows when he broke down and cried at the club

Winston getting 2,000 dollars in strip club money and buying all the food for dinner

I wish Coach could stay forever.

yeah. tonight kinda showed that adding 1 more character wouldnt hurt the chemistry. coach is crazier than Schmidt and nick, so its not too over the top and his character is balanced out by the others. Plus as somebody above said, having 2-3 black guys didnt destroy the show. But alas, hell only be here for 4 episodes.

He's developing a pilot for Fox anyway, so at least he'll have more stuff on tv
