Finally picked up some castor oil to help a small patch I have. How do I use this stuff? Do I apply it every morning after a shower? Twice a day?

Just shaved. 
First shave since 09/2014. Beard size peaked around 12/14-01/15.
After that, I started trimming it to a short beard.
Finally decided to start over. Feel like a fifteen year old now.
