Saw a game for the first time last night. Really like the 2nd unit. Livingston looks like he's more than just a passer. He's more well rounded than I thought.

Wonder how it's gonna be with the full roster.

Well, I was contemplating not doing it but here it goes:

The Nets dropped the ball with tonight. I understand Jason "requested it" to be done as soon as possible and not get in the way of the regular season. But someone like myself that invested a lot of money into the NEW JERSEY NETS Franchise, through the HIGHS and real lows, I would of made it my business to be in the Barclays for the ceremony. Instead, you make it a pre-season game against a team where $150.00 a ticket is a minimum already just to get in the building.

I would of paid top $$$$ to go in the middle of the season against the Charlotte Bobcats to at least see a full professional basketball game. But to pay top money for a pre-season game that the starters are barley playing tonight and then have this ceremony is real tacky. It is just poor in my opinion.

Rant ends.

Don't really eem care to be honest. I kinda side with Jason, just do it and be done with it.

Ahh, but see Zyzz, they are almost sold out tonight. almost all their pre-season games have been at home.

i would've liked to have seen it done during the regular season as well to be honest. still, a lot of memories came back watching that jersey go up into the rafters :nthat:

KG & pierce getting the rivalry with miami started early  :smokin

Since BBM is back, I figure maybe some of the core guys here would want as an option to add some sort of group if you want too????

im gonna have to catch up on the BBM hype... i still haven't added it to my phone yet

DWill returning last night :smokin he caught fire early on those 3's. im glad he got a chance to get out there & get at least some game action in with his new teammates before the regular season starts up.

our 3 point shooting & ball movement as a whole last night was very impressive :nthat:

we got off to a good start yesterday... that 3rd qtr & bench play killed us though.

im not worried... all of this is gonna be a process.

CLEVELAND -- Kevin Garnett mean-mugged, scrunching his face up into a pretend angry scowl as he tried to explain how his new teammates were anxious for instant results.
The Nets had just lost their season opener to the Cavaliers, falling 98-94 Wednesday night after failing to knock down any clutch baskets late in the fourth quarter with their starting point guard on the bench. Garnett, seated on a folding chair in a back area of the cramped visitor’s locker room, was talking about how the Nets are going to have to practice the P-word rather than expecting immediate success.
These things, Garnett said, take time. The Nets are, after all, a relatively new bunch that hasn’t had much time together in the preseason due to injuries and scheduled rest.
“It’s going to be a little more impatience,” said Garnett, who registered eight points and 10 rebounds. “But everybody has to be patient and it’s not because you assembled guys and then, ‘Voila!’ These are things Jason [Kidd] has been working with us every day. Our system is what it is. There’s a lot of different stuff. We’re just gathering it. We’re not a perfect team by far but we are a hard working team.
“We’re a team of no excuses. We’re going to watch tape and live and learn.”

Pretty much. But we live in a microwave society. Had the feeling fans and others were expecting complete dominance from the jump. It doesn't work like that.

But I do see the team getting better, especially when Deron is fully back.

Truth. I just hope they don't get EMBARRASSED by Miami tomorrow. If the Sixers can beat them, so can the Nets. lolol
