The thing that irks me is that some people think they're tough guys when they've got numbers and have been drinking. The second guy was just trying to be a peace maker. For all we know, he could have been 100% sober but was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Punk move by both but you can't expect civility and fairness at a football game. I have said before and I'll continue to say, by far the worst fans to be around are football fans of any major American sport. Absolute worst
 
If you dont talk trash to anyone, you wont have issues.  You dont want to get into a fight?  Keep your mouth shut.

I've been a season ticket holder for 16 seasons, and went to about 4 games a year for about 5 or so years before.  Never once have I been even close to involved in anything that has popped off at the Stick.

While not talking trash and being a jerk often keeps you out of those situations it is not guaranteed from my own experiences. It does help your odds though of avoiding fights


Other patterns I've noticed:
It is almost always worse and escalates quicker when females are involved
It seems to happen with more frequency to fans wearing jerseys
Rarely anything happens in the club section
If you're willing to criticize or make disparaging remakes on your team (as a visitor) you are often ok

Well i'll be wearing my Adrian Peterson jersey at the Cowboys game in a few weeks. We'll see how that goes :lol:

Truth. I have never had any problems at a NBA game, nor seen any issues at one. MLB, NFL is another story. I'm at the point I'm never taking my girls to a NFL game. Its just not a environment I want them around.

Becoming a problem?  I couldn't disagree more.  People have been getting blackout drunk since I was a little kid.  People were bringing kegs to the parking lot as long as I can remember.  The idea that there is more excessive drinking at tailgates now than in the past is laughable.
 
Girls getting involved is the worst, they make everything bad.

Don't take ******* to sporting events, :smh:, nothing but headaches.

This.

As I stated, I was at this game in particular, not "drunk" but had plenty of liquor in me running my mouth before and during the game, never got disrespectful or made it a personal thing with the individual... in other words... I stayed in my lane.

But it's the people that try to flex and get out of line because there's a crowd, ho*s, and/or their friends are around so what would generally be your average trash talking back an forth turns into dudes getting gassed up by the atmosphere/physicality provided by live NFL games with the alcohol being a little bit of a factor but more of a cop-out excuse rather than the underlying issue.

How do we solve this problem?
Better Parenting.
Semi-Srs.
 
this happens at every NFL stadium in cali. those damn cali cowboy fans are annoying as hell. :x when the niners played the cowboys couple years ago at the stick stuff almost popped up every 5min. it was nutty.
