Jordan 1999 Fire Red V Sole Swap. Any Feedback is appreciated.

See I have a pair of Air Jordan 5 Raging Bull red suede. I want to replace the netting and the very bottom of the sneaker. I have calculated the amount of times I would have to retrobrite, sea glow, and wash them and it seems it would take far too long to get good results. The problem is that they are piss yellow.

Things I want to know

[if !supportLists]·        1. [endif]Can I separate the outsole (very bottom) from the midsole without ruining or cracking the midsole (the middle)

[if !supportLists]·        2. [endif]Can I do the same thing for the donors shoes (air Jordan sixty plus)

[if !supportLists]·        3. How to cut the netting off the donor shoes(air Jordan fusion 5) so I have alot to work with

[if !supportLists]·        4. [endif]Is e600 better than barge cement

[if !supportLists]·        5.  [endif]Do you have any better ways to separate the shoe from midsole rather than using a heat gun.

[if !supportLists]·

Your help would be much appreciated,   Ashley Pierre

good job. I'm seeing signs of cracking on my 2000 fire red 5s. Got a donor on the way. Seems like the soles on these get clear quicker than others. I'm hoping to get mine to fit pretty much perfectly. Did you unstitch the toe or leave it attached? Also what did you use to get all of the remaining midsole from them?

I've finished restoring a pair of '99 cement 4's, both shoes came out great !!!

When I did the left pair I progressed from THE BOOT - MIDSOLE - SOLE

The right pair i went = SOLE - MIDSOLE - TO BOOT

I feel it was better to stick the MIDSOLE to the BOOT and THEN THE SOLE!

Post some pics!!!

I found some companies that fabricate plastic mesh netting. I'm actually in the process of sending them a sample of the plastic mesh netting on my Raging bull 5's. They say they might be able to do it.

I know it's probably pointless since you haven't answered any other questions, but I figured I'd try anyways.

I'm thinking about copping a DS pair of 1999 White/Black/Red 5s (the ones the OP sole swapped) and sole swapping them with a 2013 pair, but the only problem is they are a Size 10.5, and though I can sometimes fit a Size 10.5 (I'm a Size 11 regularly), I actually had to sell my pair of Size 10.5 CDP 5s because they were just a tad bit too tight on me, and I wanted to just get a Size 11 instead.

My two questions are:

1.) Does the 1999 White/Black/Red V fit the same as the CDP or 2013 version?

2.) Is it possible to do a sole swap if the donor is a half size bigger?

I'm hoping the 1999 happens to run big, and also that it's ok to use a half size bigger donor, because I could just use my Size 11 CDP 5 as the donor, since I've only worn them a handful of times. If the OP or anyone else who has the answers could chime in, it'd be greatly appreciated!

PS: Is it just me, or did anyone else immediately think of "YOU AIN'T GOT THE ANSWERS, SWAY!" when they saw "...anyone else who has the answers..."? Lol.

So I have the same fire red 5 99' and I've starTed on the process of sole swapping and I need to some advice I have the donor soles prepped painted along with the uppers and the soles I just need to know what adhesive to use (shoegoo, barge cement, gorilla glue, e6000) which would work the best for this ? Thanks
