Online Drug Kingpin Arrested

Damn
I'm sure some people in high office used his website
SHOULDA called in some favors

I don't think he really even know who used the silk road it's all anonymous the only person you give any information to is the seller and it's all enycrepted so only they can see it

Ole boy deserved this.

He was a sociopath, dude ordered hits on people. :smh:

Really? Is this the guy who was from Texas? Saw some news report awhile back talking about some online guy and his parents were acting like he was a saint

Yeah, I that's him.

Wired had an article about him a while back. Dude was a loon. Glad he is locked up

Thankfully the hits were not carried out. Someone was pulling a scam on him I believe, but he thought it was real and ordered like 5 people killed :smh:

Website help move illegal guns and child porn too. Glad that **** is shut down and dude is doing life.

Thug

His lawyer stinks.
How so?

All the evidence was against him. We all read how they arrested him in the library with his laptop out and all, right?

They even mentioned that he was being trailed for a while.

Ulbricht gettin off.. DPR was at least 2 seperate individuals. That's all they need to prove. Reasonable doubt.

He's an American hero.

Never purchased from SR but I know some Britt that did and still buy from ________. Just herb but I never saw the problem... makes a very unsafe transaction a relatively safe one.

I ain't never been stuck up while sitting at home on my computer.

I fail to see how "life in prison" equates to "gettin off".

....what the hell did he do to help america?

slanging drugs is enough to make you a hero?

I bet you didn't think lamar on 59th was an American hero when he got knocked with that bundle of rocks

Life is a heavy price to pay.

But he is a criminal that was a safety issue to the community.

Get him off the streets.

He put hits out in 5 people

Damn they took down Silk Road? I always thought that was a scam, had no idea people legit bought stuff from it.
It would be pretty easy to get scammed but it's a relatively safe way of buying drugs if you know what you're doing.

Do your research on vendors and if you see any red flags in their reputation, past transactions, ... then don't do it.

It's essentially the same as Ebay. Sure there's scammers but do the proper research and you won't have much problems.

Payment is usually handled in bitcoin which is completely untraceable. Everything is encrypted so nothing traces back to you as the buyer.

Your package can get intercepted but there is nothing to trace back to you so you can deny any involvement.

It is a lot safer than face to face drug transactions.

He didn't sell drugs. He ran a site in which one of the many illegal things you could purchase were drugs

Many of you seem VERY uneducated on the subject.

There will be an appeals process. If they can prove at least 2 users were behind the DPR name he should get off on the hired hit... and thus escape life in prison.

He's a hero because he found a way to take 99.9 percent of the violence/sketchiness out of simple transactions. He litterally probably saved hundreds of lives.

The feds don't like not getting their cut tho.

He offered a much safer way of dealing and buying drugs yes. Regardless it's still actively promoting the sale and use of drugs.

It's not just weed you can buy there. Anything you can think of, they have it.

It's "saving lives" by reducing the violence and dangers associated with face to face drugdeals but at the same time it's destroying lives by offering hard drugs like heroin and cocaine at better prices and with less risks involved. Do you think the family members of heroin addicts think that silkroad has "saved lives"?

Not to mention I don't think you realize how many cartel members and serious criminals deal on silkroad. The customer isn't the only one who profits from his service.

so the guy who ordered the hit on 5 people took the violence out of simple transactions...

last time i checked, the violence and sketchiness was mainly a problem of the trafficking/distribution side....

the dude looking for an eigth/ounce/other low amount is not at a high risk of getting robbed/murked anyway

you guys are delusional
