Post your observations from Week 5...

-500+ yards and 48 points and only Romo will be blamed for yesterday's L.

-The amount of Giants fans who have totally given up on their team and now only post exclusively about the Knicks is pathetic. Fairweather fans on here. Just like in the real world.

-Beating the Patriots and only holding Brady to six points is a signature win. Home or away.

-Rivers wins AFC player of the week and turns right around and does that.

-The NFC South will be wrapped up by Week 12.

-Dolphins just ain't there yet.

-Can't spell Stafford without Calvin.

-KC just keeps winning.

-Plenty of people were saying Luck was the best from last year's class but most of you all were blinded by the that gimmick read-option.

Top 5
Broncos
Saints
Colts
Seahawks
Patriots

49ers.  Love seeing you not mention them when they win. you herb

-CK need to step it up..

-No TD for Tom brady hmm

- Lions buns without Calvin

- Never really looked at Luck until last year playoff. After they beat us ive been watching him closely. He is the man.

- Ravens is meh, Mia had a chance but those WR kept droppn passes.

- What happen to all the giants fans?? lmaoo

- so who going to bring KC back to earth? they seem to have a easy schedule in the beginning. 3 teams from the nfc least, jags, and titans so far. hmm

-What happen to the Panthers? much needed win

- turnovers anyone?

Romo shouldn't get all the blame but a pick at the most inopportune time takes away from the good game he had. The broncos defense couldn't stop the cowboys. Drive down play smart and get the win.

Romo is a great statistical qb. If you look at stats alone he's a great qb. However its more to the game then just stats. Its so many past games where romo has a pick or some type of turnover at the worst possible time. This is his 8th season as the cowboys starter and if he can't stop the turnovers at the worst time by now he probably never will.

Brady threw a pick that cost his team the game today and I and most people were shocked. When romo threw a pick late in the game today I honestly wasnt suprised. Obviously Brady is a better qb but the fact that its expected of romo to make a dumb play at a crucial point in the game is the problem. Every qb throws interceptions and has fumbles. When your constantly doing it at bad times it takes away from good numbers you put up.

Like I said. If we go off of numbers and stats alone, romo is a great qb. However stats aren't everything. Dude is a proven mental ******.

He's a better version of Alex smith, Matt schuab and Andy dalton. He will look great against bad to average teams but his deficiencies show against the elite teams and he can only get you so far before commiting a key turnover.

Unlike the other guys mentioned romo can hold his own but usually implodes late. However he plays good enough to get the cowboys to no mans land every season. There a constant 8-8 9-7 team. Not bad enough to get a high pick but not good enough to make a playoff run. They'll play just good enough to have hope of keeping the core together and try and make another run at it thinking their on the doorstep.

Statistically romo had a great game but in a shootout like that you just can't throw a pick at that point of the game.

Had Dallas won, this would've been tony romos signature game. However he's getting the scrutiny for the inopportune turnovers and deservedly so.

LOL. Yeah right.

Everybody would've said it doesn't matter till December/January.

People could say whatever they want to say. If they won that game and romo got the better of the greatest regular season qb of our generation that win would've gave this cowboys team a level of respect they haven't had in years and if anyone tried to discredit the win then that would be blind hate and this is coming from someone who can't stand the cowboys.

will post the rest of my comments later ... but let's be serious ... romo was just sacked on the previous play ... it was a deeper route and romo couldn't step into it ... when you know you have to score, you expect him to throw a 3 or 5 yard route to leave 3rd and long ... once again it was 2nd and 16 if i remember correctly ... it was a great play by the receiver ... that game is not on romo and i make fun of the guy all the time

The way the Broncos are playing your gonna have to put up at least 60 points to beat them

That D started to let up when their leader Woodyard and CB Harris went out

Philip Rivers will never sniff a SB appearance

I feel for Texan fans

I don't know if the Patriots offense is that trash, Bengals D is that good or Brady just had an off day

Who the hell does Shaub think he is

Colts arent ******g around, Luck :x :pimp:
saints are BALLIN... they get homefield, theyre going to NY
Giants
Chiefs beating who theyre supposed to
Denvers secondary is trash, there was no D in that game period for that matter
Romo didnt lose that game, the timing of the pick was just TOO Romoesquey
Schaub breaking his own "Anti Drew Brees" record  :pimp:
Kaep needs to get that offense rolling

This.

For as great as he played for the fist 58 minutes, there were people out there expecting him to mess up on what turned out to be the Cowboys final drive. He's one of the best in the game, but for whatever the reason he crumbles when it matters the most.

It was a tie game. They could afford to punt it. Dont throw it and take the sack. 3rd and 23 is better than giving Denver the ball inside your own 30.

Romo is a mental ******. What else is new.

Even if they punted Peyton was bringing them down the field for the FG or game winner anyways. He was doing it all game. Man it was a lose-lose situation for Romo

I mean in all likelihood Peyton was probably going to lead them down the field.

But hey mr. 500 yards removed all doubt for us.

|I |I

I always knew and understood how this is a QB driven league but over the last 2 years I've seen it first hand how having a top tier / franchise QB ( Luck ) can will a team to Victory an how a game manager / bum can cost teams game ( Schaub ).

The dude had no zip on his balls, defenses don't respect it it, and it shows, dudes sit on routes and just wait for it.

His confidence is shot an I'm sure the team is over it, which is a shame, there's a lot of talent on both sides of the balls for the Texans.

Kubes is either in love with dude or know Yates / Keenum are that bad. I want to see him with a capable QB.

Watt is the best defensive player in the NFL.

Foster is getting back into game shape.

The defense plays well but when they get no time to rest from the offense what can you do? They are constantly getting put into bad spots.

Our special teams coach should've been fired in 2011, dude is terrible.

Bullock

|I |I

Rest of the league;

• You gotta feel for romo, dude had a hell of a ******g game, but like it's been stated, people are waiting for that mistake / blunder because we know it's coming. And despite dude going toe to toe with #18. That bad pick into triple coverage with a dump off wide open is what's gonna be remembered from this game.

• it was only a matter of time before Vick got hurt.

• giants fans  fair weather fans  dudes been MIA for weeks, at least jets fans show their faces :smh:

• Eli is out there making bad decisions, but then again he's always done that, it's funny how he's gotten a pass all these years for it.

• TP2 last night :wow: :smokin

• I don't think tonight's game is gonna be a falcons route, that jets defense is pretty good, the falcons Oline and defense not so much.

Texans

- I don't what more you need to see from Schaub, he's just not the guy. He basically gave SF the game.
- Special teams are *** too
- I feel sorry for Dre, Cush, and JJ

NFL
- Andrew Luck is only going to get better, and that's scary
- Peyton is GOD, if they get to 11-0, I could see them running the table
- Romo balled out, but what about the defense getting a stop?
- Nice win for the Bengals
- That Chiefs defense is something else, another game with multiple turnovers forced :smokin

As a Colts fan, I don't feel sorry for the Texans one bit. Let's not forget that you passed on #18 because you liked what you saw in Schaub. City totally turned their back on dude and his confidence is shot. And lettuce not act like that team wasn't a couple plays from being 0-5. Good Luck with that.

Peyton will be Peyton

Can't let the 9ers W overshadow how below average Kaep is looking. Will see what happens when Crabtree comes back before writing him off.

Romo gonna Romo. Team out up a damn good fight though.

I honestly don't know when the Giants might win

Miami isn't for real

Phillip Rivers can't fool me anymore. Colts win next week.

Only thing in the Saints path to the SB might be SEA.

NFC East is looking shaky baby

Bears and Chargers are starting to look like frauds . Saints aint nothing to play with

Tough loss for my Pats . the offense just didnt show up , period . our defense though continues to impress me

the NFC is up for grabs if Seattle doesnt get home field

Broncos offense is absurd . excited to see their division games , especially against the Chiefs

Still shocked Pryor is playing as well as he is . dude is making very impressive throws on a consistent basis

Giants are the 2nd worst team in the league , and Eli is arguably a bottom 5 starting QB so far this year . Tom Coughlin's seat is getting REAL hot right about now

Schaub needs to be benched . dude is giving away games for them

- Giants, same story every week. Eli's playing like garbage, no running game, no o-line. Every damn week.

- Colts beating the 9ers and Seahawks is real impressive. That team could be dangerous come playoff time.

- Another classic moment from Romo. He balls the whole game and just when you want to give him some praise he tries to do too much at the worst possible time and he blows it. This dude always playing with Cowboys fans emotions. Love it. :pimp:

- Terrell Pryor is getting better and better every week. He looks real comfortable and confident.

- Matt Schaub :x  haven't seen a QB break down like this since Jake Delhome. Texans don't even matter right now. The defense is stout, JJ Watt is a monster but you can't win if your QB is giving the other team 7 points every week.

- Saints look GREAT. Rob Ryan was made the scapegoat in Dallas and now he's turned around that Saints defense.

Green Bay really needs to tighten up their red zone offense.
Defense came to play, Calvin or no Calvin on the other side.
Hopefully clay hurting his thumb has a minimal effect.

  • #18 ... i've said all there is to say ... just get #2 ...
  • Vick stays getting injured
  • I'll keep Stafford above the line this week ... talent is keeping him up here but you gotta do better than that when the defense is holding you down like that against rodgers in the first half ... how long did it take dude to get his 3rd completion ... ridiculous
  • Saints are 1B ... broncos cannot stop a nosebleed and payton is a hell of a coach ... just ask hank baskett
  • Romo ... like i said ... great game ... this league is about making plays and he tried ... not gonna fault him for that ...
  • Mike Wallace ... you're paid to make the difficult catches ...
  • Sucks to see Hoyer and EJ go down ... QBs already are at risk every time they drop back ... they have to also protect themselves at all times
  • Kansas City ... good story for them ... I don't see them beating denver, colts or pats down the line but i like what they got over there

Bum(s) of the week

  • Eli and the GMEN ... having bad seasons is one thing, throwing INTs is another ... but c'mon ... you 0-4 and doing double back flips ... ***** i don't care if that's your first TD
  • Schaub ... 4 weeks in a row ... lulz
  • Dalton and the offense minus AJ Green ... Offensive coordinator, Head Coach, QB ... iono man but how can you not unleash a guy like AJ every week ... these ninjas cannot be serious
  • Jax... oh you thought it was good to start messing around w/ your o-line ha ... just get rid of this team Roger ... DO IT
  • Carson "i used to be good" Palmer ... fitz clearly was on his straight cash homie ... straight cash
  • Panthers thought the giants were a cure all ... lulz

Yea, cause there's been no reason to turn on him at all. No need to feel sorry for the Texans, cause I wouldn't feel sorry for the Colts if they were going through the same

Texans
- Embarrassing performance starting with the QB. Starting him against the Rams will prove nothing. I would agree with what Champ said about Schaub being able to lead them to the playoffs, but at this point with how he has looked, can he really? He's looked bad all year, and has drastically gotten worse. He's put up huge stats, then threw mind-numbing picks (sounds familiar), and this time, he didn't even get to put up stats with the good defense from the Niners.
- And cause of Schaub's play, that affects the defense. Staying on the field too long, trying to gamble and force things, and you end up getting caught out of position and inexplicably beaten for huge plays.

Seahawks
- Aaaaaaaaand there's this game. What happens when you get 3s instead of 7s at the wrong time, instead of stepping on a teams throat on the road? You get the perfect script for the NFL's golden boy to lead another comeback. I get the Luck is Elway's guy, he has the potential to be great, and is coming after Peyton, but christ, let it happen naturally instead of shoving Luck down people's throats. I know the NFL will need a face sooner than later, but come on, it's sickening.
- Hawks DB's had to have their worst performance this week, as if it was on purpose. There's no reason Browner should've been out of position on one TD and that 2 point conversion, but that was Luck's destiny.

The League
- Shocked at how the Cowboys went toe to toe with the Broncos. I was fully expecting them to gas out and get beat maybe 41-17. They pretty much exposed that Broncos defense, regardless of Miller and Champ being gone. Romo balled out, but showed exactly why he's still on the level of Schaub, Cutler, Rivers, and Flacco. Everyone on this board is fooling themselves if you say you didn't see that pick coming. It was a huge buildup to that, and it was only a fitting ending. Sure, none of the defenses played well, but that was the expected end result.
- Saints looking like being in the dome doesn't even matter. They've asserted themselves at the top of the NFC. Sean Payton is probably the next best free agent after Peyton
- At least the Titans also lost.
- Jags are miserable (hmmm...sounds familiar as well)
- Cool to see the Bengals beat the Pats, especially the way it happened with a game-ending Brady pick. It was shocking to see him do that, unlike other QBs.
- Eli is playing awful, and it doesn't even seem to have anything to do with his O-line this time
- Levell & Smith didn't want to see Cam flourish
- Almost forgot, Raiders seemed like they found a gem in Pryor. Appears to be making better decisions each game
