Ever since field turf became the norm, I've never seen any one wear turf shoes in an actual nfl game. It would be impractical and foolish to wear anything other than cleats in a game.

And even if you did get a regular shoe converted into a cleat, they would get mangled in one game because there not that durable plastic/leather that cleats are made out of.

Everyone likes to look fresh on the field, trust me I know. But to sacrifice performance for it is not very wise.

If you want to drop some coin and be unique, just hit up nikeid and go crazy. Or hit eBay and try and find those jordan iii cleats.

i sure miss those astro turf days game was ALOT faster....guess it was bad for their health though.....

I agree to an extent. You mentioned durability. Don't NFL players signed to Jordan Brand recieve PE cleats with Air Jordan uppers & cleated outsoles, like the Jordan 3 cleats you mentioned? I don't see how that's any different from converting turf shoes into cleats.

3s are/were basketball shoes, so if they could be cleats, then shoes meant for football could definitely be cleats, right?

I'm leaning heavily towards converting a pair into cleats. If not, then I'll just buy a pair of cleats & keep pushing.

How do the DT1s fit? Anybody own a pair? Wanna buy a pair, but I have wide feet & they look like they fit narrow.
