probably looking at the crap teams which some actually do well with filling the stadium other than the Marlins

but the money is coming from merchandise and what ever else they do. another thing yall forgot, MLB new era hats

KD is in a similar boat which will only get bigger as his career goes on and he continues to be historically great. He and Westbrook have already brought OKC from being worth 325 million in 07 to around 600 million today, yet are getting paid 19 mill a year.

Every NBA team's value has skyrocketed over the last few years. The Kings just sold for $525 million. The hell they got going for them? lol

Everyone wants an NBA team now, and now all of a sudden none are for sale? After damn near half the league changed hands over the last decade?

Going to sixers game tonight we making history one way or another with a win or a lost

Don't give no dambs bout this losing streak either only ppl who do is ESPN nd media do they got something to talk about

every team in the NBA is making money, not A LOT but it was overly exaggerated during the lockout that teams "werent" making money

Its ridiculous what they did to get that ******* stadium. Dudes had a competive roster for about half a year then started breaking it apart only reason he even signed those players was to make it look like he wanted to win. ******* disgrace they knocked down the orange bowl for that

Did I just read Daryl Morey slander? Y'all praised the hell of out of him every offseason...I hope ****** ain't turning on him now.

The "basketball reasons" thing is on point but that doesn't fit the narrative on ol' boy so wamp wamp.

I'm not sure who has praised him every offseason other than other fanbases trying to be ironic (other than heading into this offseason.) I think people now realize off the work it took for him to assemble the roster as it is, but him being so adamant about a Pau/Hayes/Nene frontline was pretty sickening. I usually cut him some slack cause he was handcuffed to Yao and McGrady's contracts for so long.

TV money is godly.

Those new numbers kick in this season.

Every single MLB club receives about $50M per season just from the TV money coming from the major networks.

That's not 'eem factoring in regional TV deals, corporate sponsorships, attendance $, concessions, merchandise, national/local radio $, international rights, online broadcast $, etc.

Then you gotta think about the fact they play 162 regular season games per year.
Hell, its considered to be Americas favorite past time.
used to*

Football is king now.

Yeah I ended up Googling it and saw a couple articles about how unreal their TV money is. Ridiculous :x

and you got mad at me for taking shots at Woj?

Ok

Ok

I was referring to the original comment that Durant is a reason for OKC's value skyrocketing. As we've seen, whether or not you have a superstar has nothing to do with the value of the team, as we saw in the sale of the Kings. It wasn't a shot at the Kings, it's just a comment about how it's not dependent on stars at the individual team level.

on a side note
no salary cap?

as much as WE enjoy basketball on here, the reality is it is nowhere near as popular and profitable compared to mlb. even out here, the giants and a's been getting more love than the w's for years.
