He's not better than Amir Johnson, Lowry plays more minutues but interms of on the court impact, Lowry and Amir are 1a and 1b.

After watching 4 tough Wizards games vs Toronto this year (1-3) it's no question Kyle Lowry is their most important player. I felt he should have represented them at the ASG and got snubbed.

Once the Playoffs start & the Pacers re-focus and easily slide to the ECF there will be so much back peddling in here

We'll see. I don't think a lack of focus is the Pacers' problem. They're not Miami, who already has two rights under its belt and clearly has a switch they can flip when the want. I think they were playing over their heads offensively during the first couple months of the season and what we're seeing from them now is more like who they really are. They might prove me wrong, but that's what it looks like to me. Plus, some of the other Eastern conference teams have improved as the season has gone on, like the Bulls, Nets and Wizards. The Pacers would not have any easy time against any of those teams, except maybe the Wizards.

Completely agreed. Once their offense regressed to the mean, it became harder for the great defense to hide it. Sounds like I'm on repeat but that ET deal is killing them right now. He needs to be glued to their bench all 48 minutes.

they still play great defense. cant score much. reminds me of detroit when they won that one year. just need to be able to close gms in the final minutes. i dont think they will have trouble until they play the heat. all those other teams have trouble scoring as well

rasual/copeland should be taking evan's minutes

indy vs miami next week will say a lot. they might just be bored. no one was going to challenge them or miami as a top 2 seed in the east.

but the evan turner experiment :smh:

dwade

:x :x....NBA Champion.

I don't even think I knew who Lance Stephenson was at this time

Ricky Rubio had a spectacular triple-double against the Mavericks on Wednesday with 22 points, 10 boards, 15 assists, four steals, one block and three turnovers on 8-of-12 shooting.

On top of the obvious part of posting the third triple-double of his career, this was the first game which Rubio had double-digit shot attempts and shot over 50 percent all season.

:x

Rubio is a historically bad shooter for a guard

Like its pitiful

I remember dude had a long stretch of games where he didn't score in the 4th

Dudes gonna blame Love though

Lowry is definitely the best player on the Raptors by eye test and any quantifiable measure

nope

not really, they strugle to score and protect the rim without amir johnson on the court, the best and most reliable play we have is amir johnson + any point gaurd spread pick and roll. If we need to score thats the play were using, and the PG involved just changes based on whose hotter Vasquez or Lowry.

very few players in basketball are better at catching the ball in space or in traffic on a pick and roll, and getting all the way to the rim and scoring without getting called for the charge.

Im telling you Amir is 1b interms of importance.

Also:

He leads the team in adjusted plus minus by a fair margin.

Kyle gives you more total value because he plays more minutes, but iterms of pure impact when they are on the court. Lowry and Amir = 1a and 1b

That's pretty much what I said no? I agree that they'll probably still be in the ECF's. But that's what separates em from Miami/OKC/SA for me...they're all elite on both sides of the court.

that's a closer match than the folks that saw Kobe in OJ
Thats when I knew kobe was unappreciated, like wtf did that come from. Oj is a better defense playing jr smith, nothing about him ever said kobe.

I had homie the used to compare wiggins to bron, nothing about him says lebron

I said Lowry's the best player and you said no then proceed to say Amir is more "important"

Lowry plays 6 more minutes then Amir and has a 20 PER to his 15 which is basically league average

Amir provides rim protection and screens yes but Lowry is their quarterback

Pretty sure most teams struggle to score and have rim protection without their starting bigs in the game, not really a surprise

Just admit it, Lowry is the best player.

dudes always jump to extremes in here PG struggles he suddenly sucks... when he's doing good he's top 5. dudes just can never chill.
This.

People who said he's top 5 right now or coming for Durant's spot jumped the gun but people were also wayyyy too far in the other direction.

Both Miami & IND are gonna have a fight with Chicago... They don't have enough offense to beat either team but that Defense is the best in the L and that effort is always there.

I don't know why people keep assuming that MIA is just going to flip the switch... They are in their 4th year trying to make the finals that's an extra season of ball with an relatively old team. Lebron is great but if all three of the big 3 ain't hittin come playoff time they aren't going to have an easy time.

When they get to Indiana i don't think PG is going to be playing this badly and Evan turner is still trying to find his way into their offense. They are playing at the worst we've seen em but dudes are overreacting.

PER, doens't capture his value, just box score stats

The reason I said it depends how you define "best player" total value or on court impact.

thats why its 1a 1b kyle is 1 if you mean total value over the minutues he played, but amir is more valuble, if you mean on the court impact.

Grevies Vasquez been just as effective running those Amir Pick N Rolls.

Is that not true though? Sans OJ he's much closer to those guys than a Carmelo anthony.

Also, if you look up when I said that you would see that PG was definitely right in the mix with those guys last season.

People who **** on Paul George only care about 1 side of the basketball, dude is the best perimeter defender in the league while giving you 22 a night
