Don't think anyone is trying to erase the 2011 Finals from the history books.
The issue/debate at hand is the fact that Bron had nothing to do with what was being discussed at the time but per usual whenever folks favorite superstar lapses get pointed out, the go to move is to misdirect and just slander Bron.
This then starts the back and forth between the Bron haters and Bron fans. It happens every time without fail. It's pretty funny at this point.

I have no ill will towards LeBron James, but no one is going to sit her and tell me that he didnt play bad that finals both offensively and defensively. When it came to both Dirk and Terry.

Umm I'm not defending anybody. But its always the same people week in and week out talking bout Bron this Bron that when nobody is even talking about him and the subject isn't even about him. And of course lebron guarded dirk on situational plays like switches and stuff but dirk was not lebrons man. Bosh and haslem were the mains guarding him

I don't have time to hate on a player, I appreciate greatness while it's in front of me cause when it's gone I don't want to regret not appreciating that. It's more so the vast majority of the not knowledgeable fan base that's overrun here in South FLA, that feels the need to defend everything these dudes do like they never do anything wrong or face criticism. Not just with LBJ, Wade especially is Teflon even though he's a scumbag that's literally milking LBJ for everything he has and takes half the season off cause he can now.
Even at the height of his CLE popularity, I don't remember the batsignal going out everytime here and Belle, AnimalThug, or SenatorJeff coming out to defend the guy (maybe OC though...RIP). I don't think anyone here is on Bron's payroll.
But when digs are taken at other great superstars in their own right, ie KD, and someone brings up hey Dirk has given it to the best of the best before on a much bigger stage...somehow it's a problem...ok.

A fanatic/stan takes simple things and interpret them a certain way. If this stuff is hate...then I don't know what to call what ZoDogg was back in the day 
I think the point-counterpoint was to hey KD may be the best player in the league now and Dirk went to work on him just as he did against Bron in 2011 when he was in the same position, but I don't want to put that thought in the OP's head cause I don't know where that was coming from.
