Has anyone given credit to perk for holding z Bo to 5-20 shooting?

The most recent indication that those three will stay, be it through not opting out or by opting out and signing longer contracts, is from owner Micky Arison. When asked Monday by 790 The Ticket to give a percentage chance of keeping them with the Heat, he responded, “100 percent.”

Which means arison is fine with paying the luxury tax penalties.

He probably didn't sign with us because Presti took him to the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building Bombing Museum on his visit, they were short on time. No doubt it's significant to the history and culture of the city, but what kind of first date is that? Plus didn't you guys give him 2 yrs where we only offerered 1 because the NBA somehow covers most it but only 900k and for 1 yr so the 2nd yr of the minimum we would have had to pay the remaining 400k on his minimum, and he wants ot play 2 more years not 1 so probably didn't want to deal with 2 FA processes, plus already having played there and having a house there leant him that way. If we played our cards better, rumor has it he wanted to come here though and was telling his people he was, but again we cheaped out

ZBo's shooting percentage had more to do with the Grizz continually running isolation plays for him rather than just running a real offense. I do give credit to Perk as well, though. He played ZBo straight up and did not over commit to anything. Zbo's isolation plays against strong low post defenders is one of the worst decisions we can make. This is really the reason OKC came back. Memphis were trying to slow the tempo down even more and that resulted in waiting til 8 seconds being left on the shot clock and dumping it to Zbo for one on one action.

Now, if Zbo has it going and is making every shot, then isolations are fine. I still don't understand why Memphis went away from the pick n roll between Conley and Gasol. They also should've had a 2nd ball handler on the floor in the 4th quarter to prevent the traps OKC were causing. Something like Conley, Udrih, TA, Zbo, Gasol or Conley, Udrih, Lee, TA, Gasol/ZBo would have worked in certain stretches. Hopefully, Joerger makes those adjustments because Memphis really should have lost that game last night. If Durant would have even shot the ball half way decent, it would have been a W for OKC.

Carnival is suffering after that incident with the ship.
Good

NBA players compare themselves to slaves? They should work a week on a cruise

I feel so guilty whenever I'm on board.

Plus, one of the cruises I was on when I was a kid caught on fire and was stranded in the Bahamas for a like 3 days.

That **** was traumatizing

Beno Udrih is, apparently, not playing around. The veteran stepped in at the backup point guard last night and carried over his performance from Game 2—you know, the one we thought was a fluke—by racking up 12 points on 5 of 6 shooting (that's an eFG% of 91.7%, which is just stupid) in 14 minutes of play, some of which was spent off the ball in a super-small Conley/Udrih/Lee/Miller/Koufos lineup. Yes, you read that correctly: that is a real lineup used in an actual playoff game, and it worked. At any rate, Udrih's play has been a revelation, even as Nick Calathes had established himself as an important piece of the rotation puzzle. Udrih has stepped up in a big way. I still can't believe the Knicks cut him.

The Grizzlies have got to be a little better at knowing when to do something besides (1) run clock or (2) post Z-Bo up in late game situations. It's been a recurring thing over the last few weeks, not just the playoffs. The Grizzlies have a bit of a lead going down the stretch, and they hold the ball and start to get slower than they need to be. It's not the first time those plays (Z-Bo iso postups against double—or triple—teams) have happened and hurt the Grizzlies in the final minute or two of a game.

Speaking of Zach Randolph, at some point the Grizzlies have got to stop forcing it in to Randolph. The Z-Bo Isolation Project just doesn't work against OKC with the same efficiency that it works against teams that don't have good post defenders, and instead of getting good looks it's blowing up what little offense the Griz have to start with. There's a reason Randolph's shooting percentages in this series have mostly been abysmal: defending the post against other big slow dudes is literally the only thing Kendrick Perkins is good at. Nick Collison is another great defender. Serge Ibaka is too long and athletic for Z-Bo to get a good look. Steven Adams is apparently made out of granite. Do something besides isolate against any combination of two of those guys.
