In some ways I can see how you might say a boycott isn't necessary. Back in the day protests, sit ins, boycotts etc was the only way to get your voice heard and things are somewhat better these days.

But that only holds true if sterling is dealt with swiftly. Otherwise you have a bunch of guys trading their dignity for dollar signs. Ideally you would hope that society has advanced far enough that it doesn't take a national uprising for something to be done.

Really the problem is the culture that sterling mentioned that will continue to produce guys like himself Zimmerman etc
