See, this is exactly why I would like to see it happen :pimp: :pimp: the backlash would be epic. Everyone would be so damn mad over people trying to win a ring

Same thing as using cheat codes and then brag about beating a video game. If you enjoy that then have fun. But don't get upset that other people don't applaud you.

Swear to lord I want Melo to join Miami so bad in the offseason (Although the big 3's contracts probably won't leave enough for Melo, even if he took a paycut) just so he can rustle all these NBA heads who cry about how "This AAU Generation don't like to compete" yadayadaya and all the other clichés that they throw around.

You acting like that wouldn't be some BS though. It would be terrible for the league if there was a team that dominant with 4 of it's biggest stars. That's just the facts.
But the league reached its peak popularity during a period where one team won 6 rings in 8 years, including a 72 win season & only having 1 playoff loss up until game 4 of the finals.

Surprised it took so long for someone to finally realize that for the Bulls to beat the Pistons, they had to get Mike off the Rock and get him off the point.

It was straight Lebron in Cleveland syndrome before Phil arrived in the Chi. When you are that great and have size, there is no reason you should be bringing it up and trying to score while 10 sets of eyes are in front of you.

IDC bruh, that was a different time and mostly because that team had MJ whose appeal worldwide was on a whole different level. Besides the die hard fans of the NBA like me and many others in this thread, the overall public thinks the NBA is a bad product because it is the same teams at the top every year/lack of parity. A Heat team with Melo/Wade/LeBron/Bosh would win every year bruh no contest

I honestly want to know what y'all wanted lebron, wade and bosh to do. I assume rot where they got drafted

Comparing GTA up up left right down R1 + R2 cheat codes to "Yea, we're free agents, you wanna play together?" ???

First off all those 3 didn't wake up one day and say hey we are free agents lets team up

2nd of all we were talking about melo joining as well and all nba stars doing whatever they can do get a ring

Some people in this thread would clearly enjoy Durant, Westbrook, melo, wade, lebron, Prime Shaq and prime Wilt with Magic and Hakeem coming off the bench.

I think that's very strange. Especially of you aren't a fan of the team and just wanna see the inevitable backlash and hate

One team winning every year is actually not a bad thing for the NBA.

See 2000's lakers, 90's bulls, etc. the public and the media tends to get behind stories like a potential dynasty.

^three peats are good every now and then. The way things are now, dudes would get bored of winning

The NBA has always had the same teams on top year after year after year. This is not a bad thing or a good thing, It's just what happens when teams figure out how to win, they keep winning.

Name a time or generation where there wasn't total domination by the 3/4 same teams year after year.

Excellent 30 for 30, rivalries are just now the same.

Bill Laimbeer said it best.....when you were on a team it was your nationality, it was who you were, who you represented. Not the same with free agency and players changing teams constantly.

If it was guaranteed that Wade/Bosh/Lebron would wash the rest of the league, they'd have 3 ring now instead of 2, and wouldn't look as gassed as they have currently

Pretty much. These types of fans want to see players waste all of their prime on one team losing, then turn on them and wait for that organization to trade them for scraps when they're body is near life support, or when that player probably isn't any more than the 9th or 10th best player on the team. Then they want to reflect on their careers ten years down the road like "Dammit, I really wish he could've won a ring :wow:".
