Part of the reason Dwight's game seems less explosive and more mechanical than we might want is ref-related.

A big man can rarely make a sharp cut and drive towards the basket these days without it leading to a flop and a charge call. The bigger you are the more likely they'll just call it against you.

So you compensate by jerkier post up moves that don't make a flop as easy.

somewhat this. you have to be very careful, anything to quick or forceful is quick to go the other way
