I doubt it. He is probably in other business ventures with his racist brothers in arms.

Earlier this morning on Mike and Mike, Charles Barkley made a good point. He was on Mike and Mike and he said something along the lines of although they would like to get rid of Sterling as a owner, he isn't really getting punished, because if he is forced to sell the team and he gets a billion dollars for a team he paid 15 mill for, how is that punishment. I thought about it and just :smh:

same thing happened with the Dodgers and McCourt...ran the team into the ground, had a messy public divorce, went bankrupt, MLB took over and forced him to sell. he made a profit AND still owns a piece of the parking income from the deal. But at least we dont have to worry about his broke *** day-to-day anymore

unfortunately thats just the way it will have to be.

It is interesting there seems to be no clause at all for owner behavior. Looking at Jim Irsay in the NFL too. I wonder if someone could be removed if he murdered a guy or something.

i completely forgot about this. how boneheaded could he be?

Man don't even get me started on who I refer to as Jeremy FREAKIN' LIn! I ain't even a Rockets fan but living in the city you almost gotta get into the team and this guy has frustrated me from day 1. The Rockets WAY overpaid for this dude (See P. Beverly taking his starting spot) and he's gonna wind up costing McHale his job (that may not be a bad thing).

Hopefully Daniels convinces Morey to get rid of this dude. They can use his expiring contract and Asik to hopefully get a true PF and move T jones to the 3 or a bench role player.

I find it FASCINATING that after all this time, we now have the topic that might get Michael Jordan to stand up and be loud. :nerd:

His first statement was perfect, and honestly, I don't think anyone would expect him to say anything, but this time, he did. He might be the only one too, because the rest of these owners don't want to be biting hands, I am very happy Mike did speak up, and hopefully Silver finds a way to kick Sterling to the curb.

Realistically, not a damn thing will be done outside some pathetic slap on the wrist, unless the players flat out refuse to come to work and Sterling is forced by his own team to step down.

Right!!! Where's mike been all these years when people were stomping each other out over his shoes and what not. I'm glad he spoke up, but his stance on most situations has left such a bad impression over the years like you said I don't think it makes a difference at this point

and the funny thing is...you dont just start/stop being racist, dude has been like this and will continue to be like this forever. I don't see how any self respecting black man, or other minority at this point, can feel comfortable signing with him in the future. I can see everyone jumping ship once their contracts are up. How do you work for somewhere and put your heart into it and body on the line knowing they secretly hate you simply because of your race?

CP3 will go to the Cavs like he did every time in 2K13
 every f'n time. But on a serious note I wouldn't be mad if all the players get to be free agents. Only if Seattle was ready for a team next year. It might not be "fair" for the fans but if he continues to own the team a lot of players won't want to play for him. And the team will be bad again in no time.

I'm tellin you, Griffin, CP3, and Crawford would do with for the Kings, especially with DeAndre backing up Cousins, and Isiah Thomas coming off the bench for CP3

Honestly, if clipper fans all wore black tshirts to the game instead of their regular clipper gear it might be the best silent statement that could be made.

Seeing the entire staples center on tv covered in black t's would be pretty powerful, IMO.

I think that's the only legal cause for removing him. If a felony is committed.

You're still thinking basketball, which is understandable, but isn't this a little bigger than that? I get the "players playing for themselves" stuff but in actuality that's not the whole story. Clippers success puts money in his pocket, simple as that.

I see your point, and I kinda agree, but I feel like the players will be punished/hurt just as much (if not more) by a boycott and I wouldn't want them to go through anymore crap

Carmax drops sponsorship for the Clippers. Now the trend starts...

Nice. Let the sponsors hit him in the wallet too.

Donald Sterling ain't buying Jordans...

I kid...I kid... Anyway I was shocked also, but glad he did it.

That's the way it works in a capitalist society. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, but there are opportunities to advance and change your lifestyle so you to can one day be millionaire. Public humiliation will be all Sterling truly suffers (his pockets are gonna be straight regardless). However, the message must be sent that racism and bigotry is not ok. We can't take his money or his team but we can alienate him from mainstream society.

Yea the silence so far from the other NBA owners isn't conspicuous at all. Like it's been mentioned before the history is long and damming with Sterling. If they didn't do a thing in 2009 when all the stuff about the housing was in the forefront, doubt they'll have any thoughts now. They've supported him through worse.

I would think they'd have to be convicted of a felony too; not just accused. And the likelihood of that happening is probably low since we all know people with really deep pockets generally tend to far pretty well in the courts.
