Forreal. All this talk about us as consumers, viewers or the athletes themselves labeled as "new slaves" :smh: Yall be think way too much out of the box and reaching. Take this philosophical stuff to general.

On a side note I believe Donald changed his name to sound more "successful" nothing to do with him being Jewish. And even just because he's Jewish doesn't mean dude supports all the extremist Israelis and wrongdoings of Israel.

Ah but you fail to realize how all these things are not singular, they are intertwined.

It's not anti-semitic to acknowledge the 16,000 black asylum seekers detained in concentration camps in Israel and the subhuman conditions in which they live.

And it's not anti-semitic to acknowledge Donald Sterling's comments about "blacks in Israel, treated like dogs".

It's not anti-semitic to hold Israel accountable for their actions nor is it anti-semitic to not be in support zionism.

All the support of a Jewish state, and condemning of atrocities committed against Jews, but a blind eye turned when Jews commit atrocities. The media, largely owned by wealthy Jews does not expose the western world to these realities. We are conditioned to be apologists, conditioned to believe the billions of dollars in aid given to Israel is for a good cause. But every day I wake up and read about another drone strike that "accidentally" killed Palestinian children.

So IDK what's anti-semitic about hallywoodxo's remarks. Its true. Jewish Americans often change their names to assimilate into American society, they infiltrate the media and they drum up pro-zionism sentiment while putting out anti-Islamic propaganda.

Nobody in the media ever utters Judaism, zionism and extremism in the same sentence. But Jewish fundamentalism/extremism and terrorism do exist. Acknowledgement of such a phenomenon isn't anti-semitic.

Can a Jewish state exist without atrocities committed against Africans and Palestinians? I think so, and I think it's time America wakes up and holds all people accountable for atrocities committed in the name of religion, not just those whose pigment isn't similar to their own.

Perhaps hallywood could've been more concise when he spoke. It's not a "Jewish" thing, it's a zionist thing, it's a fundamentalist thing. Judaism is not inherently the embracing of zionism. Just like fundamentalism in Islam reaps ugly results, fundamentalism in Judaism reaps ugly results.

Before jumping to call hallywood an anti-semite or construe his commentary as anti-semitic, look at what Sterling said and realize there is a whole lot of truth to it. There is a lot of xenophobic, racist sentiment going on in Israel toward other ethnic and religious groups.
Sterling isn't an Israeli.  Your opinions on Israel as a state might not be anti-semitic, but using them to randomly attack American Jews for unrelated things is.  As well as all the "zionist conspiracy" crap.

But yeah, obviously this doesn't belong in this thread.

Nah man nah. In hijacking this thread back.

I think hands down rockets blazers has been the best series. Obviously I'm disappointed we're down, but from a completely unbiased standpoint, it's been ******* amazing to watch. Had the rockets won last night and spurs won tonight, each western conference series could be 2-2 :wow:

Damn, if the Bobcats lose tonight, they will have never won a playoff game in franchise history. And they never will since they are goin back the the hornets

Who would be a bigger disappointing 1st round loser: SA, OKC, IND, or HOU?

This gif is perfect

As Daryl Morey said, "it's a coin flip". You could really make a case for either one of these teams. I personally would say the Pacers, because they spent the entire season talking about #1 seed, barely was able to get it cause Miami was also faltering, and they're getting pushed to the brink by the Hawks. Rockets/Blazers are a pretty dead even series match-up wise, but I could see laker fans/Dwight detractors saying the Rockets cause they still feel betrayed and coochies still feel scorned. "It's expected" for the Spurs to lose in the first round cause "it always happens" :rolleyes :rolleyes. OKC really is facing a Grizz team that's not a true 7th seed, but they still have KD and West and will get slandered if that happens.

Can you imagine if the Pacers, Bulls, Nets, Thunder and Spurs all get bumped in the Frist Round??

Heat Haters who will you root for then!!

:smokin

I respect your intellect and how you try to think different, but I had friends like you that preach about all this crap too. So what, we're supposed to not watch the NBA because all these athletes are truly slaves being owned by rich white men? Please, white owner, black owner they will still practice dirty business to get rich off the athletes. There's no way of working around "the man" It's comical you think athletes don't like what they do or ever see themselves as slaves.

No homer, I don't think Houston losing is in the same stratosphere as those other teams. Statistically speaking, Portland and Houston are the same team. The thunder just have a tough matchup but all the games are close. Indiana would be huge, same for San Antonio considering they were blown out

Wanna see the Grizzlies and OKC series get even more physical. LOLZ. Don't wanna see people's KD reach the finals until he learns to commit on both ends and not just rely on his offense.

Wizards are hot though.

Al sitting out tonight. Come on Heat, make this quick and painless.

R.I.P to the Bobcats. It'll be as if you never existed.
