Its not the biggest reason.  How many people who posted about AD's statline tonight includeda comment about his defense?  I'll save you the time.  The answer is zero.

because most ppl cant see defense. If I show you 40 pts and 20 rebs.... you see greatness.

Anthony just became legal to drink on Tuesday while Kevin Love is in his 5th season and doesn't play a lick of defense. Not even mediocre defense but negative defense.

Because for some reason love is an "empty stats guy" forever while Davis is the 2nd coming of David robinson

Don't get me wrong AD had an awesome game but love has had many awesome games but since he doesn't play defense and the twolves suck he gets the overrated label.

Edit: to the above, when AD puts up those big numbers as often as love does then I'd agree

I don't know why this is hard to understand, clearly part of the reason Davis is getting so much attention right now is because of his limitless potential. There's excitement about what he can become down the road in a way that doesn't exist for Love. The season he's having at this age compares favorably to Duncan's, KG's, etc. The list of players who've averaged 20 & 10 on 50% shooting at 20 years old has 2 names on it, Shaq and AD. Love is a great player in his own right but it's silly to complain about AD getting more attention than him.

^ i've always thought AD was one of the most talented since UK. I look at his ability to just dominate this early in his career and he really hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential yet.

Kyrie hasn't been offered an extension yet.

He's prob gonna be offered it this summer, one year in advance (ala John Wall, Paul George).. I highly doubt Cleveland will offer him less than the max, if they do his camp will take it as a slap in the face and try to force a trade. The difference between him and Curry is that Curry hadn't proven anything yet, Irving has already been a two time All-Star. He's definitely gonna command a max contract, whether he will truly live up to it is a another question.

i'm trying to figure out where this complaint came from?

I vividly remember arguing that K.Love is overated and a stat stuffer at the beginning of the season when people were trying to crown him the best PF in the L. dudes ALWAYS give him his props and sometimes those stats make people say foolish things. There has never been a lack of people complementing him on his game.

And once agin for the 5th year his team isn't close to making the playoffs(That team has the talent to atleast be in the mix) and i'm waiting for the excuses to stop.K Love will be a great 2nd player but he doesn't have the buildup to be the #1 guy and your leader.

Kevin Love is 5 years in, Anthony Davis is in his 2nd. He was billed as having raw untapped potential, and it's fun to watch players grow into stars. Defense aside, the experience factor is why it's special imo. Not to mention he did it shooting like 60 percent and not attempting a 3
