Did y'all see ol boy on First Take this morning taking shots at Chris Broussard

"Uh oh we got Chris Broussard in the house! With your sources"

what did skip say on first take?

we dont get it in canada

lol your country is so lucky
they could have two babies that can talk yet mumbling with bucks highlights in the background and it would still be way better than all this hockey coverage we get up here.

i had to stream inside the NBA last night because after the game they switched to AUSTRALIAN RULES FOOTBALL

Look, I think EVERYONE knows that the scrutiny will be at an all-time high for Chris Paul if he doesn't take his team far in the playoffs. As a Paul fan, the scrutiny will be warranted. The problem with Skip Bayless commenting on this is that for every "good" (and I use that word loosely) point he makes, there are 50 other examples of him saying some off the wall **** for ratings purposes. Hard to take someone who has a platform like he does seriously, when the majority of the time he's trolling. Yes, I said MAJORITY of the time. Now, if you get someone like Zach Lowe commenting on Paul/superstardom/etc., then yea...I might give credence to the debate. However, with it coming from Bayless, it's easy to ignore.

How do people still get shocked over the things skip or Steven A say? That's their careers. That's he job/task they set out to do. Say the most outlandish thing to get people to tune in. That's it. We can tell our friends " hey did you hear what skip said about player x? Man I can't believe he thinks that! I have to see this for myself!"

It's outlandish. We all know it. No need to analyze it.

Damnit!!! I'm doing what I'm preaching against! The douchebags won!

I'm not saying the slander wouldn't be 100% unwarranted but the act that he has been the sole reason for playoff failures in LA and the dismissal of his carrying of NO all those years is ridiculous to me. There's always an excuse for Blake being injured like everyone else is this time of year.

As much love as I have for Steph's game, there's no way in hell he's better than CP3. But everyone is "what have you shown me lately" and infatuated with one side of the play in the NBA, so there's no point in even going back and forth about it.

Off track, but if the slander is coming Paul's way, if Houston don't make it out the first round, Dwight ain't gonna have a nice summer neither.

I think both will recover and get this series, it's only 1 damn game, but if not.....they both gonna hear a ton of crap.

Ring or no Ring Durant is a superstar. I don't even see how that's debatable.

Like I've said there's LeBron and KD...then everybody else.

How is it not debatable? One has a ring and the other doesn't.

One could debate that.

One carried his team to the best record back to back years in 09-10, multiple NBA Season MVP's, and Finals MVP's, Scoring Champ, etc.

You're really saying there aren't levels to this ****? KD isn't on that level, yet.

KD hasn't carried a team and attended that parade that following summer.

One could easily debate the difference.

If you were to walk into the hall of fame, and go into the hall of champions and see the greatest players to ever play the game, you really believe KD should be in that room? At this moment? Really?

Nah. The debate is too easy.

lebron didnt get to the level hes at today until he won his first championship.

its silly to say kd is on lebron's level when he has won nothing yet

So with this superstar argument, were y'all saying the same thing about Dirk when he got his MVP before he got his ring? It seems KD is heading in that category, since it's likely he'll have an MVP and one finals appearance.

That wasn't the argument though. KD is a superstar. Famous and 2nd best player in the NBA. Kobe is also a superstar but to skips point Durant hasn't earned what Kobe has nor Lebron. 4 MVPs 2 championships Durant 0 MVPs 0 championships. Skips point was on court accolades. Basically win something and be great and your a superstar to him. Just being great doesn't cut it.

Exactly. Thats all I'm saying. Win something, then I can compare you.

So people never going to understand it takes a team to win a title?

Doesn't matter how elite you are as a player, MIA has 3 HOF level talents. So do the Spurs, Bulls in the 90's, Lakers/Celts in the 80's, Sixers in the 80's, see where this trend is going?
