Funny part about people defending these players who don't have rings is KD, Malone any player would tell you themselves they aren't legit until they get that ring. While everyone is celebrating KD, he himself will consider this season a failure if he doesn't win.

Flop clippers vs Warriors round 2 let's go!
if only the games started now

I told myself I wasn't going to participate in this nonsense but here goes.

Judging by what some of you are saying.

From 2003-2012...Lebron James was not a superstar and/or not on Kobe Bryant's level.

Correct?

I think people are focusing too much on the word "superstar" instead of the general idea of what is being presented

As far as on court accolades no he wasn't. How does 5 rings to 0 make them even? I think you guys are factoring in commercials, shoes, and everything else that makes someone a superstar. I'm talking strictly on court. He was great but not comparable to Kobe in no way shape or form. How can you compare Lebron pre title to Kobe or Duncan?

ridiculous. kd been a superstar for a minute. a superstar without a ring. it is what it is .you dont got to win a ring to be a superstar.

I AGREE! Without a ring though your not in Kobe's class either. Get it now? How is this lost on everyone. It's simple concept.

You're right, though.

I mean, LeBron averaged nearly 201-10-5 on the court his rookie year.

Kobe averaged... a very little bit. On the court.

So Kobe wasn't a superstar until the final buzzer sounded against the Pacers in the Finals? Before that, he was... just nice w/ it, but not a superstar?

between the guy demolishing the burger before the lac/gsw game tipped off and all this talk. i am going to go to carls jr today

I guess Jordan wasn't a "Superstar" until '91
he was labeled as a flashy scorer that would never win anything until he won something

And the people who did that labeling were incredibly stupid. In '89 he averaged 32, 8, and 8 on 54%, he played PG for a stretch during that season and had 10 triple doubles in 11 games, he had an MVP and DPOY under his belt. He was clearly a transcendent player.

I don't get the need to judge current players the same way idiots judged players back then just because that's the way it's always been.
