I agree. I think Memphis is a really good team and if they had an effecient scorer they'd be top 3 seed. I think a lot of people wrote them off because OKC got Westbrook back and of course they have KD.

This dude really thinks Boozer could make
a Wilt type impact offensively if Thibs "uses him better."

Armchair coaches.

In other news, Im liking the unpredictability of basketball right now. I dont think anyone expected Memphis to be leading 3-2 or Portland to be up 3-1 and the Pacers to be getting smacked by the Hawks.
The road to the predictable Heat championship is paved w/ unpredictability, yes.

But in the end, they ain't losing to no Hawks or Wizards, or THESE Pacers (if they even make it out).

I could see every team in the West giving them a nice fight, but we'll see.

No one seems to realize that Memphis isn't your average 8th seed. They'd give any team trouble.

****** acting like they didn't just make the WCF.

Like they don't have one of the best PG's and the best big combo in the game.

Now that Joerger has stopped trying to make them a fast break team too? It's rough man.

Definitely thought OKC would handle this better but I also knew that Brooks could Brooks.

Hell, they would've been a top 3 seed if they stayed healthy all season long. The team was good enough to be a top 3 seed, but injuries killed them for the most part. Just look at the record once Gasol came back. They were one of the best teams in the leeague.

so playing starters 50 minutes a game to make the playoffs in the east and lose 4-1 to a lower seed is what we are calling masterful coaching these days?

oh right he had the players playing hard and hustling! look at him getting a bunch of defensive specialists (apparently thats what they are since none of them know how to score) to play defense! something somthing about noah and how he has a good relationship with the coach. something something about thibs is good because he won a ring as an assistant coach. something something about having a roster of 15 nba players that have played basketball their entire lives but somehow only dj augustine knows how to score.

did i miss anything?

repped

I dont think the Suns would've won a game. I do think that if OKC does win this series, they will breeze through the rest of the West and make the Finals. If they play the Heat then it'll be a series IMO, if they face anybody else it'll be a sweep, 5 games at the most

The funny thing is, people thought a Suns-OKC series would be more exciting.

4 damn overtimes bruh

It will be really interesting if OKC does somehow wins this series. If they do win, it will not be because Durant and/or Westbrook had the games of their lives. It would have to be one of the role players having an unbelievable game (i.e. Reggie Jackson).

I'm just looking forward to Pondexter replacing Prince in the starting lineup/rotation next season.

I thought I was crazy in the Laker thread these dudes saying Thibs was a trash coach. Nice to see I'm not the only one that feels that way in here and most people in basketball circles.

The Bulls had the 12th most efficient offense in 2010-2011 and 5th (ahead of Miami, PHX, GS) in 2011-2012 when D. Rose was healthy. That's pretty damn good for a coach that is limited offensively by his personnel even with just D. Rose and can't coach offense.

Let the Bulls get Melo and D. Rose just play at near an All-Star level and you'll see how great this team is and how much better they'll look offensively. I mean they were 1st in the East 2 years in a row with a sorry coach with no real offensive threats outside Rose.

If the Sixers get Parker or Wiggins (with Thad being unhappy), would they be willing to take Prince's expiring contract and the Grizz 1st for Thad? :nerd:

I agree that I think Memphis is the absolute worst match up for OKC besides probably the heat.

if memphis had people that dunked more it would bemore exciting. no one even dunks on that team :smh:

I think at this point, its meant for Memphis to win this series and for the Clippers to win their series. The basketball gods will not settle for anything less than Griffin vs ZBo Round 3.
