Healthy Clipper Squad is coming out of the west man watch.

I'm cautiously optimistic. We haven't been at full strength basically all year and are still 4th in the West, with Portland and San Antonio slowing down a bit.

Once CP comes back, assuming everyone else is healthy, we should get a good sense of how good the team really is.

Nobody beating OKC in the West if Russ & Jesus of Nazareth are both healthy

Chris Paul the only superstar who's team never misses a beat when he's down :pimp: :nerd:

Best offense in the league since he's been out :nerd:

Clippers sucked without him last year though, you gotta also look at roster changes and coaching

The reason why I'm favoring the clips this year is Blake Griffin. It really can't be overstated his improvement as a one on one player. He gives them a totally different look down the stretch of ball games. I have the upmost confidence him being a go to player down the stretch and being the number one scoring option for them. It allows for Crawford and CP3 to be complimentary players down the stretch instead of having Jamal Crawford try to juke his way to a contested 20 footer or CP taking a low percentage shot against a Tony Allen or a stefolosha.

And then you have the supporting cast for the clips who've performed very well this year. DJ has become a monster defensively, JJ, Dudley, Crawford, DC, Matt Barnes, Hedo is even getting time for them now and playing well thus far. They are deep, have a go to big man, top flight PG, a competent head coach, and have really an all star caliber supporting cast. They have it all. It's all about staying healthy with them.

I really do see it as either the Clips or OKC.

Dudes trying to give KD the MVP now in hopes Lebron doesn't win one at the end

Lebron is not really a concern. Primarily b/c yall are gonna slurp Lebron all year regardless of what he does. He had a pretty abysmal shooting effort in the finals and almost lost the past finals yet everyone got shunned for pointing out the specifics in Lebron's game that were shortcomings from that series. Everyone washed away the facts of what happened and replaced it with the fact his team won. After that is was obvious Lebron would probably be deemed best by most of the world as long as he was in the NBA. It's just really good to see KD free'd. For those who have been following him since day 1, I can speak for myself at the least in saying: I knew it would happen if/when Russ stepped to the side. Been waiting on this.

sea manup sea manup Who is the ACB of OKC

I was about to ask the same  I get a kick out of ZNasty's Perkins slander, and normally just scroll past blastercombo's hyperboles. I can't really think of any overbearing OKC fans

He came up clutch and won his 2nd straight championship. That's really all that needs to be said about the finals  you can say he had a pretty abysmal shooting effort but really...so? It was good enough to win and net him another Finals MVP in the process.

It's like everyone thinks Memphis has to score 90+ points to beat people. When your defense can be as good as Memphis, good look scoring over 90 on most nights.

OKC's offense is not the hardest thing in the world to figure out. You can't get mad at Houston for depending on Harden when all OKC is gojng to do is depend on KD and Russy in the half court. A team that has crisp ball movement like SAS and an inside presence to stop our post game makes it hard for Memphis. And this team is much deeper with more shooting than any of the previous teams. Im not saying all of their offensive problems are solved, but it's getting there. One more move and it'll definitely be there.

The grizzlies are the Cincinnati Bengals of the NBA over the last few season.

Great defense but questionable O.

Once you score more than 85 it's game.
They have actually been putting points up lately.  Probably a combination of Conley improving and Courtney Lee taking the starting spot from Tony Allen

so MEM def > IND def?

Just to interject. I see what you're saying. But you know what? So is the rest of the NBA's offensive sets. The thing is stopping that offense. KD is top 2 baddest men on the planet right now. Sometimes you just can't stop said player despite knowing what's coming.

Fixed, and while it certainly isn't complex, doesn't make stopping Westbrook and Kevin Durant easy. Hell, look what he is doing with even no Westbrook. Last playoffs at full strength beat the Spurs 4 times in a row with 2 simple adjustments, switched all screen and rolls on defense, and on offense added a 1-3 pindown where Russ set the screen for KD to come to the top of the key and it kept forcing Parker to switch onto KD at the high post. And Popovic is typically 100x the coach Brooks is.

Once Reggie gets back to the bench where he belongs, our bench was a #1 scoring bench in the NBA. Lamb, Perry, and them I am not expecting much from outside of maybe home games since it's their first go round, but Reggie Jackson and Nick Collison are going to be ready to go. Nick Collison has the highest +/- and RAPM in the NBA as of last game in fact.

So tomorrow the rest of the All-Stars are announced. Who misses the cut that should probably make it? (Mainly speaking of the West since the East doesn't even have enough deserving players to fill the roster)

First name that comes to mind for me is probably Anthony Davis

He might get snubbed but he has time

i feel like someone wont make it between howard and davis since dmc and aldridge should be a lock for the reserves

really? i don't think DMC is a lock, especially not over Howard. Obviously his numbers are better but his league wide reputation isn't that great, and his team isn't winning.

Maybe him missing this last week helped his chance though, people got a chance to see how pathetic this team is without him.  The defense was just pathetic in the games he missed.

anyway, i think Howard, Aldridge, Parker,Westbrook, CP3 are locks

AD will get snubbed IMO
as long as Noah makes it idc what else happens

If it wasn't for the fact that the frontcourt positions are so loaded in the West, I'd consider it a snub for Deandre Jordan not to make it. But he doesn't deserve it more than Cousins or Davis. He's arguably been as good or better than Dwight though.
