look at the clippers, they got drafted blake and paired him up with CP3. without blake, cp3 wont agree to get traded to the clippers.

because they have up and coming young talent, the clippers 2nd round exit last year is something to build on so its a "good" playoff exit

the 06 clippers that lost in the 2nd round with brand and kaman didnt really have anything to build on and they were not getting any better so it was a "bad" playoff exit

Yeah but the clips play in a huge media market. And they got extremely lucky with the drafting of Blake Griffin. That's all luck. Without that, the transformation to them being arguably title contenders doesn't happen.

Most teams aren't going to get lucky enough to draft a player who puts up 23 & 12 as a rookie.

Rick Fox wasn't stopping Mcgrady and Kobe wasnt the best defensive wing at the time. Kobe was one of the most over rated defenders

other than the literally lucky part of actually getting the first pick, they took the top prospect that year. its not like they got the first pick and had to pick between random players behind doors 1 2 and 3, they went with what people thought was the best pick and it worked out. 1st picks work out more times than not

Iverson over Shaq was a classic case of the media voting for the best narrative instead of the best player. Shaq was far and away the best and most valuable player in '01, this isn't even debatable.

Allen was more valueable to the NBA. Bird and Magic passed it to MJ... AI was next..... then we entered the Lebron Era.....

So because Shaq deserved it that means A.I. wasn't worthy?

Kobe never really had a definitive era to me. He's always been in the mix with other contemporaries. He's outlasting all of them though.
Correct. Kobe has never been the guy for the entire league. Bird and Magic were the face of the NBA, then MJ, then AI, now its LBJ

you mentioned AI in the same sentence as magic, bird, jordan and lebron

please stop talking before you make yourself look worse
Between 98-2006 AI was the face of the NBA. Unanimous bro. The feel of the NBA was based on AI. Kobe never been the face of the nba

ai had a bigger influence during his time than kobe did
influence to who?

teams that would get one half decent scorer and have him chuck up 30 shots per game?

i wouldnt take iverson top 5 if i was building a team in "the iverson era"

iverson might be the most overrated player in NT history, and thats saying a lot
