Lol Durant came in the leauge 07-08 if you wanna use the whole prime argument on why he shouldn't have been blasted like Bron was in 07 and how he was in 2011 that's ridiculous. And it does go with this argument becuase people are complaining about the coverage Bron is getting right now which before he was blasted for failing. If he deserves to be blasted for failing he deserves to be blasted for greatness.

you're going on a random tangent that doesnt add up. Bron was the best player in the NBA when KD played against him that series. KD was like 22 or 23.

KD will get blasted if he is ever deemed the best player but doesnt perform and/or disappears in the playoffs.

unlike lebron he always mans up and guards the best player

There's still a quarter of the season left. Can we maybe wait and see how it plays out before arguing about who the MVP is?

NO WE NEED TO ARGUE IT RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. AND AFTER KD PUTS 76 ON THE 76ERS TONIGHT, FABOLOUS WILL MAKE A CORNY LINE ABOUT IT, AND WE CAN HAVE THIS DISCUSSION AGAIN TOMORROW. DEAL WITH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u mad zachary broseph??

I believe Durant has one more season to not win it all before the harsh criticisms of him start. He starting to be more vocal now about his comparisons so his expectations will rise with that. Granted he is a superstar, his shortcomings were still kinda under the radar. He got passes just like LeBron did early in his career. But once it started being apparent that LeBron was the best in the league the talk started up more about him 'having' to win a championship to stay on that throne. Same will be said about KD in a year or so

care to expand on the passes he got?

LBJ or KD?

KD gets a pass every single time he gets bounced out of the playoffs since OKC had become a 'good' team. I believe KD is a great player but he was always seen as the 'Good Guy' to LeBrons Villian since LBJ 'took his talents to SB'. It was always 'Oh KD wont have to leave to win a 'chip' blah blah blah..years later,,,,still no 'chip but he not being crucified like LBJ was at the end of his time in CLE and begining of MIA. Maybe it was deserved since he (LBJ) made a big deal of leaving CLE....but that dont change the fact that LeBron has 2 rings while Durant has none.

KD will get a pass if he loses to lebron in the finals since most reasonable people know that lebron is the better player

if they get bounced before making the finals then i dont see him getting a pass

so you expect KD to beat a better player, better team, better coach?

oh aight.

and the comparisons are apples and oranges. No objective basketball fan cares about Lebron going to Miami or none of that. But when he chose to team up with stars, no objective fan is going to completely disregard it in context of how good a player performs. Bron's criticism is centered around not wanting to take the big shot (b/c he's a facilitator) and forming that super team and flopping.

can't say KD has 0 criticism, but definitely neither of the aforementioned.

To all the people saying KD is matching Lebron in February, the effiency isn't even close. Bron has been shooting close to 60% for the entire month, while KD is around 50.

when has it become your a failure if your 25 and haven't obtained an NBA ring.

The ONLY reason you had people blasting Lebron is because without earning it people called him the best player in the L... People were discussing this while Kobe was going to 3 final straight, yet u still had guys in media trying to crown Bron before he was ready.

When your considered the Best player in the L, team up with two top 20 players, and play a team who has one superstar and average 17 ppg in the biggest stage of your career, while clearly being better than everyone on the court your going to get all the blame... because every other point of his life he got all the credit.

Same with the people getting upset when people say Lebron only has "two" rings.... well he's put himself on a pedastal calling himself one of the Goats.... well everyone in that convo has 4+ rings so that is now his criteria. You can't just start hurdling players rankings w/o obtaining the same amount of winning they did.

lol, get outta here dude. this parsed out stat doesnt hold any weight to the claim. KD's numbers were better on a worse team. ha, nice try though I guess

kinda sorta how Sir Charles kinda gets a pass for playing in the Jordan Era? I can see that

also, if you take out OKC playing against Miami, look at what they did in the playoffs that year. yall crazy:

The Thunder finished with 47 wins, second in the Western Conference. During the playoffs, they defeated the defending champion Dallas Mavericks (4–0), the Los Angeles Lakers (4–1), and the #1 West Seed San Antonio Spurs (4–2).

over 50% is still astounding not to mention he's throwing in 3-4 more points per game and more assist and rebounds... This is the first time all year that Lebron has played at ths Ridiculous level and that's not a knock on him but more praise for KD being able to sustain that level of play all year.

I totally agree....and if thats your argument, why is it okay to say that KD is starting to take over LBJ 'Crown', shouldnt that be a problem as well since, you know, KD hasnt won anything regardless of age? I feel like its unfair to both

yall not hearing this man.

And Bron teamed up with two arguable Top 5-10 players at the time. 20 is conservative. Top 20 for Bosh/Wade me be like now if anything.
