Heat's Roger Mason Jr. to Kings for cash.

#PowerMoves

No.

The Miami Heat opened a roster spot Thursday by trading backup guard Roger Mason Jr. and cash to the Sacramento Kings for a highly protected second-round draft pick, sources told ESPN.com.

No. *****.

Sacramento will receive cash only -- no picks -- in trade for Roger Mason with Miami. Mason will be waived. @KBergCBS first reported deal

Ain't you the dude that bet on the Pacers over Miami in '12 and owes me $200? SN is damn near identical. Funny how that SN went ghost after that. :nerd:

Rondo would make the Rockets better for sure. Good Players adjust to the system and the players around them. Rondo will do whatever it takes to win; he would have no problem playing off the ball / sharing distribution duties. Rondo will back dudes down in the paint / throw bodies for boards if thats what hes asked to do.

But let the Rockets maintain their bro-mance like locker room atmosphere. They don't need Rondo to get knocked out in the conference semi finals ever year , They can do that on their own

Denver, Washington talks serious on sending Andre Miller to the Wizards for Eric Maynor and Jan Vesely, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

this would be nice for Denver
[/quote]I like the pickup but man the Nuggets like these athletic swingmen that aren't worth anything. IE Anthony Randolph and Jan.

People are also underestimating team chemistry. We have a tight knit roster, adding Rondo just doesn't seem like a good fit for THIS team

You're right, the deal won't happen because he's a terrible fit for the Rox.

People have extremely short memories; just last year the Lakers had Kobe, Howard, and Nash on the same roster which in turn made them a lock for the NBA Finals. But then, reality set in and people realized this wasn't 2K13.

interesting....

hard to imagine Deng getting traded again, especially after saying he won't sign an extension with anyone

straight up? trevor aint gettin paid Lu type money is he?

At the end of the day, it's hard for me to justify dismantling a roster that's currently the 5th best record in the NBA

Dwight Howard and Rondo would hate eachother so much.
hope it happens.

In a vaccuum, Rondo is better than Lin (but Asik > Rondo in terms of value to these Rockets), but he doesn't really fit well next to the players, system and probably the locker room.

Pretty much how I feel, looks good on paper but I'm not sure how much it translates on the floor. Rondo is a better fit with someone who is a more of a catch and shoot type SG, Harden is just too ball dominant.

And if you lose Parsons you really don't have a viable option at the 3. The Rockets don't desperately need a PG, an upgrade would be nice but Bev/Lin combo is ok for now.

Philly got another 2 second rounders. Damn

Rockets need a shooter. Should just get Jimmer on the cheap.

The Rockets are having a great season but if they dont win a championship then its all for nothing. Game 7 in the WCF, thats where Rondo will take you over the top and into the Finals. Chandler Parsons and Jeremy Lin just aren't going to get you over that OKC hump.

Rondo - Harden - Howard would be absolutely filthy IMO. Chemistry is overrated. Rondo and Jesus allegedly didnt get along but that doesnt make Rondo's looks any less sweeter or Jesus' jumper any less perfect. It Ainge was going to trade Rondo, id like to see him go to the Rockets.

Rondo, Green
For
Lin, Asik, Parsons, Jones, and a first
Is the only deal Danny MIGHT Take

Do you not understand how bad the contracts are structured for Lin and Asik? And you're hoping to get BOTH on a team in the middle of a rebuild? Ainge would be stupid as **** to take anything the Rockets offer back.

Nah he could take any deal and it'd most likely involve more picks.

He might take that deal if he just don't give a ****. I don't see why he'd want all that.

If that deal is Rondo/Green and a pick for Asik, Lin, and Parsons, please tell me how you made the Rockets better. You've obviously upgraded the PG position, but you've left a hole behind Dwight when he goes to the bench, replaced Parsons with Green who's not nearly as consistent as him both offensively and defensively, and taken your most consistent bench player away in Lin who gets things moving for the second team. You lose more than you gain making that deal.

The Rockets need better bench play overall and Terrence Jones to continue to improve at the PF spot than a PG upgrade.
