LOOK AT THIS!

Help y'all. Hellppppp. In the unpopular opinion thread they saying Wilt Chamberlain and Bill Russell would be nothing more than a Deandre Jordan, Brittney Grinder, and Javale McGhee in Today's sports world.

Sheesh.

Chuck doesn't know what he's talking about, let Steph shoot.

All he needs to do is just upgrade to atleast an average defender.

you dont need help, whoever said that stupid **** needs help

Chuck really doesn't get that the game has evolved since he was playing.

Ehh I agree with him. As great of a shooter as Curry and Co. are, he's only hitting 40% of his 3's. That's less than half. Surely that still isn't a recipe for any long term success, especially over a 7 game season despite the evolution of the game of basketball.

No matter what, that's still an incredibly hard shot shooting that far, that many times.

40% from 3 = 60% from 2

the volume he takes from 3 makes it worth it, if that makes sense.

i get what chuck was saying though by getting his bigs more involved, but i do feel like steph does do a job of keeping everyone involved with how much attention he gets

Curry is a historical marvel shooting wise. he doesn't need to limit himself to way that works for different players who don't have his skill set. He shoots 40% but he's also high volume while giving you 10 dimes most nights. Him shooting 40% on 3's > shooting above 50% from the field.

He's on his way to being a better scoring version of Phoenix Steve Nash.

He's a career 43% shooter from 3, but taking more per game will always bring your percentage down, that's why he's 40%.

I think it goes both ways. There's positives to him shooting, you could always make the case on the opposite end with him being primary ball handler.

But I can certainly think of many more shots that are FAR WORSE than Steph taking 8.

I guess with Curry I'll just have to see him prove that this style of play can consistently get 50 wins, deep playoff runs, etc. because scorers who rely that heavily on their jumpshot normally don't do that well as far as success is concerned.

But I do understand that Curry's a special player in regards to how spectacular of a shooter he is. Shooter 40 plus percent from deep at the volume that he takes them at makes it worth it because of the amount of extra points that he picks up in doing so. However, I'm still hesitant on the style of play.

Iguodola needs to be more aggressive on the offensive end especially when Klay is off

I can't remember the last time I saw Barnes knock down a jumper
