Woulda been so nice to see CP3 & Melo running on that MSG floor together.

Amare woulda never stayed healthy anyhow, I catch highlights of his first season in NY sometimes and just sigh

Magic just gets too excited about basketball to be coherent. He's obviously an intelligent guy to do all the things he does but he turns into a schizophrenic when the game is discussed.

I think he's just got great people advising him on the daily.

I know Melo is doing his thing statistically, but has anyone in the NYC media (or any fans) held him accountable for some of the Knicks roster woes? If he comes to NYC via FA, there would have been more flexibility with personnel decisions.

People wanna put blame on Melo (he's easier to hate on), but Amare straight ****** everything up :smh:

Nah, your front office messed up when they thought Amare was worth that 5yr/100 million after multiple teams said he only had 2 good years left in his tank :smh:

With all the money they had to spend it was either Amare, Boozer, Bosh or Joe Johnson to lure in Lebron or Wade. They probably thought they made a chess move by getting Amare

Looking back at it, everyone in that FA class besides Lebron or Bosh is overpaid.

Man, Amare brought the Knicks back in a positive way.  Melo's entire aura has been negative and whiny since he got here.  Amare's body fell apart, but at least he knew how to be a leader.

Bosh is overpaid. We dont realize it cause hes with wade and bron winninh but if he were in a situation like joe Johnson he prob wouldnt do much better

most fans now don't like the fact that he basically tied up the knicks finances by forcing the deal that cost the knicks so much when he went to the knicks (both in terms of $$$ and personnel limitations). people were grumbling back then, but most could have never known it would've turned out the way it did with the injuries and level of ineptitude from future knicks management. things looked up when donnie was around, but he was basically forced out and now the pacers are flourishing while the knicks have buried themselves

Contract is going to go down as one of the worst ever with Arenas last contract.

Ain't mad at Amare for a second though, dude only has a HS education, get your money.

Plus dude made a lot of bad real estate deals while he was in PHX

Aura has been negative? Man your judgement is so damn clouded every time you comment on Melo. Dude is the only Knick that actually gives a **** about winning. Guy is putting up career numbers and doing w.e he can to carry this bum *** team. There's not much else he can do at this point.

Jason Kidd is more of a leader than Amare and Melo. Your best player doesn't have to be your leader to win.

That's how I feel. Everyone knew he was going to break down, it's not his fault he took the best offer out there. The energy and life that he (and that first half team) brought to a very stagnant fan base was and always will be appreciated. Everyone knew it was only a matter of time before he broke down. I'm not gonna say he ****** anything up.

Donnie wanted to wait on Melo in FA as well, as I remember.  It was partially Dolan's impatience & insistence that they make the trade immediately that led him to make the decision to leave.

I really think Donnie did a good job purging the team post-Isaiah, I think it would have behooved the Knicks to let him run things the way he wanted.
