the fallout if melo left ny would be crazy? i think most people would be understanding actually given how the organization has cosistantly made errors and dug themselves deeper into a hole

Wait...you think people would understand his reasons for leaving when he played a large part in inflexibility of the roster? I think the vitriol would be through the roof when he made his eventual return to the garden.

I wasn't in favor of the Chandlers signing, but he blew my expectations out of the water with his first couple seasons on the Knicks.  Long-term that contract never really made sense.

how has melo been negative or whiny? stop projecting
Over 4 years you're telling me this is a guy with positive body language on and off the court?  Please.

You guys are so excited when he puts up 40 pt games in losing efforts in the midst of a horrible season.  Those are his special moments to shine.

When the playoffs and big games come around, though...  When he actually does have talent and expectations around him...

Well we all know what happens then.
yeah none of this is true. at all.

once again, he's been neither negative or whiny.

Until Dolan no longer owns the team, the deeper the hole.

Think about this, Donald Sterling has been known to be the biggest cheapskate and wouldn't listen to anybody about running his team. He finally listened, fired Baylor and now the Clippers are a free agent destination. Dolan surrounds himself with yes men and controls what his employees say to the media. How is it that the richest franchise in the nba and the team in the biggest market continue to fuc things up? Ans. = Dolan.

I personally believe using that amnesty on Billups and getting Tyson was our main financial **** up. Not signing Amare. I obviously appreciate what Amare did for us, but basketball wise I blame him for why this turned into a snowball effect.

This too :smh: .. Chandler was not worth 15 mil at the time, can't convince me otherwise.

is he overrated NOW? sure. he wasn't overrated after he played a big role in helping dallas get a championship though.

I didn't say anything about overrated though, it was the 15 million per year that blew my mind. I was OK with the sigining but the money they spent on him killed any shot of going after a legit superstar to pair up with Melo/Amare

Whatever you say man.

Everything I said about Carmelo 2 years ago was right...  I'm just proven right again and again.  When I said last year going into the playoffs it would be another typical good ol' Melo time, you got all defensive.

But I was right then...  I'm right now...  I'll be right 2 years from now when Knick fans can finally breathe and admit to themselves they never should have tried to build a winner around this guy.

But he isn't though, did you watch Bosh play at all before he came to MIA? Be honest.
Plenty and I remember him getting them to the playoffs two or three times and not making much noise.

He gets paid the same as LeBron and more than wade. Unless u feel wade and bron are incredibly underpaid I'm not sure what your missing

Idk how that baby thing makes it anywhere close to a basketball floor. Do they not have a marketing or PR team, did they not hold a focus group, did they not look at it themselves???.
They named their team the pelicans, and approved those jerseys. Anything is possible.
Then they introduced Pierre the Pelican and named their arena Smoothie King Center.  Someone is trolling

yeah i think most people would be like "good for him," because they view the ineptitude from the knicks organization as being greater than any limitations carmelo placed on the team. sure there's always gonna be disgruntled fans, but definitely not to the level where their jeers drown out the garden

i don't think anyone would disagree with this. we knicks fans have known this forever.

dolan and his family ain't never gonna give up the knicks though. they're one of the biggest money making franchises in the entire world of sports. seats are always filled, product sells like mad, etc, yet the team is lackluster year after year

I heard fans set up a protest today in front of MSG.

Bosh would've got the same contract as Amare if he didn't decide to sign with MIA.

They did what they had to do in order to fit all 3 in their budget. I remember reading an article at the time that said Bron/Wade wanted Bosh to get more money than them because they knew they could make up the difference with their individual endorsements.

Yikes

Don't be that guy

Yo that Felton story is disgusting.

She used him to pay for law school then divorced him then put a gun charge on him in NY.

You foul ma. You foul as hell.

I could probably score a layup on a drive to the basket against K. Love.

If I missed he'd be in rebounding position to collect that stat, though.

True but he would also give you a quick 50

Blake/LMA/Dirk all suck on defense too so that's not really the best argument

And not score in the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter and still lose though

aldridge does not suck on defens. don't know where you came up with this bull

My comment was about Kevin Love
