Nah ESPN thinks it's Meh when Melo does it, Or Kobe, Or any other superstar we've seen do it in the last 10 years, it's clearly impressive shuld LITERALLY a 3rd of your coverage go towards it NO.
What are you talking about?

Any SUPERSTAR that drops 60+ is going to get OD recognition...and deservedly so.
then why didnt melo get OD recognition?

Sound like a bunch of Thunder fans, complaining about Lebron's air time like what he just did wasn't incredible and worthy of it

wasn't worth anymore than any other player putting up 61. It should get media coverage, but there should not be a media slurpfest. this is all Westbrook's fault anyway

Just saw the highlight real for the Heat game.  Did the Bobcats attempt to double team LBJ?

Breh 1/3 rd of sport center was dedicated to Lebron last night... Melo had a legendary performance against the same team less than a month ago and it was talked about like he put up 20.

He's not the best player in the NBA.
He's not a 4x MVP.
He doesn't have any rings.
He plays on the worst franchise in sports.

That simple.

Have you been watching the league for more than two years? When MJ was Dominating the league their wasn't a close second.... Point blank Period.

So the year mj most MVP to Karl Malone There wasn't a close second? Your over blowing stuff. He did not sweep every playoff series and just obliterate everybody stop that.

this just in, multiple sources are telling me that it was rustle westbrook who paid espn for the excessive lebron coverage

thats not a typo

He gets praised more, and scrutinized more than any player. That comes with the territory. One day you'll understand. One day.

In the ******* history of the sport, there are something like 50 guys or so who have scored over 60 points in a game....the history of the sport. However, Lebron's ho-hum 61 point performance should have been treated like all the others.

Yup.

And that Melo game got OD coverage too. I was at a bar after the rockets game and hoping to see highlights of Parsons hitting 10 straight 3s, but it was all Melo. And deservedly so.

Of course lbj is gonna get more recognition he is the face of the nba. You cannot compare lebron to melo's 63 or terance ross's 50 because they are not the polorizing star that lebron is. You are comparing apples to oranges. No one in sports is analyzed the way lebron is. Plus since he said he would be top four all time hes been on an amazing tear.

I think the gap between lebron and kd is bigger than the gap between kd and whoever is the 3rd best player

Melo doesn't get the foul calls Lebron gets either, Imma put that out there aswell

Shut up, when KD was on his run they were opening the show with his highlights and showing player tweets and talking about his nickname all day long too, analyzing each individual scoring highlight.

Melo didn't even get this much love when he did the same thing against the Bobcats .. I guess those 5 assist Lebron had compared to Melo's 0 was the big difference :smh:

Melo did it on friday night when all Superbowl coverage was going on.

Lebron did it on Monday night when there is currently no big headlines going on.

Lebron is also arguably this biggest star in sports and Melo is not.

What are you talking about  ... I wasn't referring to the media coverage, I knew this would be all over ESPN, I was talking about the fans of the game. Those same fans who were talking about "Melo did it vs the Bobcats" are now talkin bout "did you see what Lebron did to the Bobcats last night?" :smh:

no he used to get scrutinized and rightfully so when you've been gifted title of best player in the L and you average less than 20 with j.Kidd/ J. terry guarding you.

Ever since he got that ring tho people feel the need to slurp every move and give him no blame... I have heard analyst say that Lebron may need more help? That if he doesn't "Carry" the heat team they have no chance of winning??

Wade is simply averaging 21 5, & 5 on 55% shooting from the field but he's washed up. Lebron is the best defender on Earth yet 80% of the time battier is guarding the star player on the other end.

He's a great player but people are pushing him to a pedestal they want him to be rather than letting him earn it first. The fact that a discussion was started about him being top 5 ever is proof to how this hype thing works, it's not his fault it's the public. The same people who will call a movie Goat after watching it once, or call a album GOAT after giving it one spin people just live in the moment.
