impossible. Cousins will inevitably pick up another T, and when he does its an automatic suspension, which will equal another automatic loss

But the teams that would provide the best product half of the time are already at the Max as far as National TV games are concerned. Also, at the end of the day this is a business. Certain teams have deals with the national tv audience to carry games so that their reach can extend beyond just their local area. It's just not feasible to not put the Knicks or the Lakers or the Bulls on national TV. Their would be a huge outcry from those fanbases (huge ones) and I'm sure ESPN, TNT, etc. don't want to have bad relationships with the Lakers, or the Knicks or the Bulls. From an economic perspective, that's just horrible business acumen.

You can whine all you want about it, but it's not going to change. And teams are limited to 25 national appearances per season (10 TNT, 10 ESPN, 5 ABC). So, no, they can't add another OKC game on ESPN. They're ALREADY at the max. We've covered this before.

Actually OKC isn't at the max, only the Knicks, Heat, and Lakers had 25 national games this season. And there are some teams that have had zero appearances. Like I said earlier, Washington was scheduled to play their only national game against Cleveland earlier in the season and it was... wait a minute.. FLEXED out for Pacers-Blazers, imagine that?

Contrary to what you're saying, clearly there is already a precedent for flexing games so it must not be as complicated as you think it is. This issue is as simple as the league and networks not wanting to take any financial risks. My point is that's stupid reasoning to not flex games more often. If they bump one awful Knicks matchup one night to show say, Warriors vs Mavericks how is that horrible business acumen?

And it's not just me "whining", other people have noted this issue too. Prior to this year I can't remember the last time an NBA game was bumped off national TV, it's already happened several times this season and will probably be a more regular practice moving forward.

I don't see the risk to signing him to a 10-day.  He either fails or he turns out to be a good player that we come up on becuase everyone gave up on him

trust me, i like Goran's game, i've been pullin for him to get his day ever since he destroyed every PG the lakers threw at him in that 2010 series. dude's change of direction, hesitation dribble, and cross over is filthy and vastly underrated. i was honestly surprised to see him bounced around between the Suns and the Rockets like that.

but i highly doubt that he'd be able to put up his current numbers playing in the same backcourt as harden. harden wants the ball in his hands or at least expects to get it once the ball crosses half court. i don't think goran has a consistent enough perimeter game to play off the ball and be as effective.

You mean the owner David Stern bribed to buy the team by gifting him Anthony Davis and an All-Star Game? That owner? Gee, who woulda seen this coming. Tom Benson is an NFL guy. He didn't want to buy, but Stern gave him an offer he couldn't refuse because, heaven forbid, they abandon a market that didn't/couldn't support an NBA team. Got a hometown discount (literally right before franchise values skyrocketed, which Stern knew would happen), and threw the NBA a bone. Now...this. Poor AD.

Oh, I'm sorry, the Bulls and Thunder have 24 nationally televised games. MY BAD! Clearly, the NBA could flex OKC into just ONE more game. Also, it's why Houston has been flexed into a couple games this season, because they didn't break the quota.

Also, I didn't say there wasn't a precedent for flexing. I even said that the Lakers already got flexed out three times this year.

And the "other people" whining are just a relatively insignificant minority of rabble rousers on the Internet that the NBA doesn't care about.

Anyway, the best solution would be for the NBA to not have pre-determined nationally televised games on NBATV, and decide on a week-to-week basis. The only problem is, there'd be zero incentive for anyone to buy League Pass if ESPN carried two games, while NBATV carried an alternative "top" matchup. It's all business. Deal with it.
