"The Rockets are going to have to score more points than the Blazers if they want to win this game"

The reason they aren't winning is more because they can't stop the Blazers offense

Which is the point. They aren't a defensive team by any means, they need to out score Portland. Do that by getting everyone looks and touches. Dwight can drop 50 but they ain't gonna win like this. Same way lakers lost playoff games where only Kobe got off and no one else did. Dwight isn't Shaquille, but shaqs too dumb to understand how the rockets play, he only understands big man play, and barely at that. Fools yelling like that makes his case stronger. Same way some clowns on NT type in all caps when arguing, as if that makes your point more legit :smh:

Prime example of that is shaq. He can't assess Dwight's game fully because he looks at Dwight's game through a specific player lens. That is, he's played that position and has been extremely successful at it so when he analyzes dwight's game, he's consciously and subconsciously comparing his own game to Dwight's. That's where the outrageous numbers come from

I do agree with Chuck and said it earlier in this thread, this is not going to end well for Houston. It goes against everything that's made them successful this season. When Portland goes to hack a Howard combined with their lackluster defense and their perimeter guys out of rhythm, you'll see.

putting dwight on lamarcus is a bad idea, dont want to get him into foul trouble

LMA is the same as KD, gets a bunch of foul calls from being skinny

Dwight Howard has taken the throne for the most criticized player in the NBA by far. Everyone got an answer for what Dwight Howard needs to do to be effective

Had to be for some kinda entertainment purposes. B/c that'll just lead to foul trouble for Dwight.

Exactly, don't understand how shaq is so stubborn. He doesn't even realize how the games changed since he was dominant winning ships. I can't be the only one that remembers how shaq messed up the suns offense by forcing them to run the offense through him rather than letting Nash do what he been doing.

this just isn't true.  half the people in this thread could do what bill simmons does.
Half the people in this thread could write a 1,000-page book on basketball?

No they couldn't. Simmons is an extremely good writer and does a ton of research. Don't mistake the random offhand comments he makes for him not being qualified.
