Man I hate Harden's step back 3pt chucking, non defense playing, euro stepping to FTs ***. People stay giving him credit too :smh:

He has such a likable personality and can easily cut down on the chucking and average 8+ assists he he wants to.

He averages 6.1 now.

I think people are forgetting harden is 24. He's got a lot of time to grow. Not everyone is LeBron or Durant

harden handled that situation in a very immature way. fran asked a legit question

Yes and no. Calling the guy a weirdo is immature, but the guy literally kept asking him the same question. Harden said he's not worried about his offense, and the guy wouldn't let it go.

Even I think Chicago would be smart to make a move for Melo. Their offense is that bad, an efficient ball-stopping scorer is going to be a benefit for them.

I just don't think it's going to be enough to make them contenders.

and the thing about people saying melo wont fit in chicago because he doesnt play defense

the difference between jimmy butler's offense and melo's offense is WAY greater than the difference in defense

its better to trade defense for a lot of offense, play melo 53 minutes and hes getting you at least 40
40 on what efficiency ?

Thibs would run Melo into the ground as well.

One of Woodsons biggest issues this was Melos miniatures and basically he had to put the team on his back offensively which led
Him to being gassed.

Granted Chicagos defense might alleviate some of that.
melo could shoot with his left hand with a blind fold on and be more efficient than this bulls offense

2 games into the playoffs, the team is 9pts per 100 possessions worse on offfense with Perkins on the court and 11pts per 100 possessions worst on defense.

as the chicago front office, you cant keep passing up on scorers because they might not be that great at defense then wonder why your team cant score anything

signing all defensive players is the same as signing all offensive players, its not going to work and you need to balance things out

Who was the reporter that Harden called weirdo?
apparently this guy

he looks like weirdo

i just wanna know what he said
dude looks like the type to have said something about james' beard and a public male bathroom in a park.

maybe harden should start worrying about offense

He was right. He said they need to worry more about team defense. Whether he does anything about it is a different story. Rockets are best in transition, and when you don't get stops, you can't run out.

Also for those infatuated with the silly notion that harden isn't a number 1 option, check this link. The only player to have a season comparable to his at a younger age was LeBron.

I wonder what the Celtics have in mind for the draft if they get a top 3 pick.

Dont eem want any of those college dudes to be honest. I want them to contend NEXT year.

Sullinger + picks + whatever else for K. Love? Thats what id like to see.

Adding ONLY K. Love won't make you a contender. Just ask the Wolves.

Chicago's front office is cheap.

It's cheaper to sign and pay defensive stoppers then pay for offense.
we got a bunch of guys that can score for cheap this season

but i guess that might just be dantoni's system

no one is talking about regular season numbers, harden's game is perfect for the regular season. when teams game plan and tell their players not to fall for his ball fakes he doesnt go to the line as much in the playoffs which brings his fg% down

3 straight series below 40% shooting, not #1 option numbers

My point was, no need for hyperbole. We're not trading him, he doesn't suck. Has he had a horrible series? yes. Will he continue to improve and become a better player? yes. We'll be fine in the long run.

You also keep mentioning last year, conveniently leaving out that we were an 8 seed that shouldn't been swept and he put up 26 7 and 5. Yes he only shot 40%, but he was getting to the line by being aggressive. He's simply not doing that this year.

There's no efficiency to the lakers scoring though.

It's shoot till it goes in.
lakers were around the middle of the league while chicago was dead last

obviously our team was full of bums and none of these guys are put your team into the next level guys

but its not that hard to find guys that can some what score a basketball

being the worst offensive team in the league should disqualify you from any COTY voting

not even using hyperbole, he has been hot trash and has yet to shown any reason to believe that he can be a #1 option in the playoffs

i get that hes on your team so you like to be optimistic but wasting max money on james harden is going to hurt the rockets in the long run

Melo is white, LBJ is grey.
LBJ's defense is overrated.  Especially this season.

Also, this is a nice attempt but I'm not sure it's a great quantifier of defense in a vacuum.

I wouldn't call him an overrated defender, he had a bad year on defense, never been a great on ball defender imo, probably very good but not great.

Only reason why his defensive numbers are down is because he coasted. Anybody who watched 70% of miami heat games this season could tell you that. He's still a game changer on the defensive end when he wants to be.

Edit: It's hard for me to picture melo meshing with harden when they're both Iso-heavy players. Who knows it might work.

Exactly, anybody who thinks Bron isn't a good defender only based off this season has short memory.

He had to save as much energy as he could hence the coasting, not like he was Harden/Curry/Melo level though.
