Memphis is better than people are giving them credit.

Durant and Westbrook need to play better.

Brooks is still an average coach.

Ownership is still cheap and hurting the team pinching pennies.

Serious question since I've been curious.  How much do people in Memphis actually love/follow the Grizz?

A lot of people. Of course, the city has some bandwagon fans, but the Grizz and Tigers are the only thing Memphians have in terms of sports. And believe it or not, Memphis is a huge basketball city. We have elite HS basketball programs and prospects coming out almost every year. When I was in high school, we had about 3-4 schools either in the top 25 or top 30.

Memphis just loves basketball and they love ugly basketball because that's how a lot of us grew up. It wasn't all glamour, but a lot of fouling, fights and you had to be tough. That's why fans hate the Clippers so much

And if Memphis wins, it is going to be because they are the better team. Does OKC have the two best players in the series? Yes, but you just start complaining about the lack of depth they have outside of those two players plus the coach. Guess what? Memphis has one of the deepest teams in the history of the franchise and are a lot more balanced than OKC. They have also established THEIR tempo in this series. If they end up winning this series, it will be because they are the better team.

Last year it was "Grizz won because OKC didn't have Westbrook".... this year IF they win, it'll be "Scott Brooks can't coach" or "It was Westbrook's fault". Make up your damn mind.

Houston might get blown out tonight. Not because they won't show up but I have a feeling Portland makes 12-15 3's which will be the difference maker.

I think OKC is a great team. We just match up well with them. This is the exact reason why I wanted to avoid the Spurs and play OKC.

Out of the last 15 games we've played in the playoffs against OKC, 33% of those games have went into overtime. Before this season, I believe almost every game played between each team during the regular season was decided by less than 6 points. The only reason the games this year were so out of whack was due to so many injuries by the Grizz and Westbrook being in and out of the lineup.

I expect for the rest of the series to be nothing short of greatness and regardless of the outcome, I can say it was one hell of a series.

Hipsters.

I been complaining about Brooks and his predictable *** "offense" and lack of adjustments since 2011.

Yea...I can vouch for DatZ on this one. He's been calling for Brooks' head for a few years now.

IF OKC falters, makes that Kevin Ollie buyout all that more probable, right?

Man, every single year we say the West will be wild, blah blah blah, and every single year I laugh at all the series being 3-1 and mostly boring.

This year, it ain't that. :wow: :pimp:

Even the East has been fun. The Heat and Wiz are both up 2-0, but all 4 games have been tight(ish) for the most part, and you can't ask for more than that.

Too bad the NBA product sucks. :rolleyes

Kevin Ollie is not leaving UConn any time soon.

Based off of what he did this year, he'll have his pick of high profile college jobs if he fails in the NBA. Gotta strike while the iron is hot. If the money is right, he'll bounce.

I've met Kevin on a few occassions, dude bleeds UConn blue. Sounds crazy but this is his dream job. Not saying he won't look at other opportunities, but right now I just don't see him leaving for the NBA. I could be wrong though so we'll see.

Dwight's apathy towards the pick and roll.

"It's Dwight's fault"—Lakers fan.

*secret tears*

One of the crazier things about these two teams playing in the playoffs is that OKC was the other team Mike Miller was considering signing with in July. No one believed he chose to play in Memphis over OKC, which he would've had a better chance at a title.

Brooks would have played him too because as we know he has a thing for older players/players that look and play old (Perk)
