magic's response

“It’s a shame that Donald Sterling feels that way about African-Americans.”

He adds, “He has a team full of amazing African-American basketball players that are working to bring a championship to Clippers fans.”

Oh, Magic...

His name is the number 1 trending topic in the country right now. If that means anything...

As trivial as this may sound, it means a ton. The more people are active on social media about this, the more attention it brings, which will aid heavily in forcing the NBA's hands to do something about this.

Social Media is PR today. If the entire social media arena is talking about this heavily, it'll make the NBA respond.

TNT has to say something about this. Anticipating their response.

that really is such an unbelievably lame and canned response from him, but what can you expect

kind of sounds like he's saying everyone should forget about it and just watch the games

It really is on the NBA to step up.  And does anyone really believe they will???
what do you really expect them to do?
My expectation is simply that they do what they would do if it were a polarizing player. What if JR Smith had been like "I wish there were no white people in the arena. Wish I could make it so no white people were at my games"?

He's so ******* stupid.

TNT and ESPN covering Sterling will be enough for the league to do something. With America watching TNT and ESPN, how can you not address Sterling. Would be a pretty bad PR move not to, could be costly not to address it if TNT and ESPN do

it was probably sterling's idea to disrespectfully put balloons on statues of respected black athletes

Were people doing this on the Magic and Kareem statues during Clippers game??

I swear if he had idiots tying balloons around their necks emulating nooses....

Damn why did we not hear this before?

@MagicJohnson: TMZ reported this morning that Clippers owner Donald Sterling doesn't want me or other African-Americans to come to Clippers games.

@MagicJohnson: and I will never go to a Clippers game again as long as Donald Sterling is the owner.

@MagicJohnson: I feel sorry for my friends Coach Doc Rivers and Chris Paul that they have to work for a man that feels that way about African Americans.
