With what tony Allen is doing to Durant.. Plus what kd is letting tony Allen do to him.. Plus the refs allowing tony Allen to be as physical as he is being with Durant.. Plus okc's lack of offense.. Plus guys like thabo and Perkins being non-threats offensively..

So after about 18 seconds or so of trying get Durant the ball, what do some of you guys really expect from Westbrook?

As bonami jones said:

“@bomani_jones: what i’m saying about russ is throwing up shot totals isn’t enough. when they have no offense, you have to ask WHY he took so many shots.”

“@bomani_jones: durant’s standing in the corner getting bogarted, and the other three guys aren’t allowed to shoot. so what to do if you’re russ?”

Well, this is probably where people begin to wish Westbrook could create for others like a real PG.  And I'm a fan of his.

You can't continue to start Perkins and Thabo, you just can't go with that lineup anymore. It's one or the other. I would sit Thabo and start Lamb or Butler.

Trade scenario my brother came up with, which I wouldn't mind seeing.

To Lakers:  Westbrook

To Celtics:  Nash  (Lakers 2014 1st round pick)

To OKC:  Rondo  (possible celtics 2014 17th overall pick)

What do you think ?

Create for who?

Every game he has 1 or 2 turnovers because Perkins can't even catch the ball.. An allergy that Durant now seems to be afflicted with

Brooks whole offensive game plan is for the bigs to be screeners.. But you hardly have an roll movements.. It's literally just to free up Westbrook or Durant.. I'm convinced collison is our only bring man who gets that you should roll off of it.. And westbrook gets ibaka a ton of wide open mid range shots

I mean he did have 13 assists last night

Some of yall don't realize how big of a change playing in a series and having a good coach makes.

After playing game one the losing team can go back a right all the wrongs (grizz did exactly that).

We complain that OKC runs one on one basketball........ But why do they do that? They have no system, they have no flow outside of a bail out kd or Russ shot. Their plays only involve 2-3 people at the most while the other watch in place. If they had a coach worth a damn every player would have something to do, somewhere to move to.

OKC is getting killed because the grizz made their adjustment after their game one loss and OKC has YET to do so to counter all their losses.

Westbrook goes wild because that's literally the "play" given to him. High screen and roll with the option to pass or go to the hoop while the other watch.

If I were to make one major criticism to the players it would be not moving without the ball. Kd and Russ WILL get double teamed. So who's open? What are they doing while open? Stop going to the 3pt line and slash to the basket.

I think the thunder should do all of the following before considering trading Westbrook:

1) fire brooks (go after kevin ollie)

2) use the 2 first round picks we have in this upcoming draft as trade bait (go after arron affalo)

3) future picks as trade bait

4) young guys as trade bait (which I would be very reluctant to do since their value is probably low right now)

But adding rondo would make the thunder worse because we don't have the spot up shooters or offensive players to complement what he does as a point guard.. We would literally be playing 2 on 5 on offense

LOL, depends on which team.

I'd take a lottery pick rookie thats locked up for a couple years and cheap in a rebuilding celtics team.  Rondo will be a UFA soon, knowing Danny Ainge you never know.

To be fair LeBron never had to play a team like Memphis. Ever.

And if he did they would have ejected Tony Allen.

While true... the reason the thread didn't jump like crazy is that 99% of the east coast was sleeping when Durant missed the shot. I don't see how people don't realize that

To be fair lebron ain't near as frail as Durant so I can't imagine it would be this bad. But the front line would give them serious issues

Detroit? Boston?

I have never been a big fan of trading picks away, mainly becuase my team seems to always do well with picks, but then again so do the Thunder. I dont even think you could swing Thunder picks for a lot, as long as KD is on the team we're talking at highest the 26th pick and thats being generous.

"The other three guys arent allowed to shoot"

^ just saying I would trade picks in a heartbeat over trading Westbrook

Why do OKC fans keep thinking Kevin Ollie is leaving UConn right now, it's not happening.

I hope he has higher aspirations.. And figures he won't get a better opportunity in the near future.. He knows Durant, Westbrook, ibaka, collison and thabo (having been with the team in 09)

Coached lamb.. Played against fisher, butler and Perkins (if any of them are here next year.. Ditto thabo)

Plus maybe he thinks he has he university back on the right path having won the national championship.. And hopefully he has an assistant that he's confident in

OKC will not get rid of Westbrook. Look at the backlash when they let go of harden. Look at what harden has become. You think they'll go through that again?

Thought I was the only one that thought OKC won't win with Westbrook at PG. There's bad coaching no doubt, but Westbrook takes dumb shots and his decision making has been terrible.

I just think this is a lame excuse.  I mean I understand the Thunder don't have a ton of offensive talent outside of KD and RW, but most NBA players are capable of putting in open shots and layups.  Each of these guys has a way he can score if someone else puts him in the position.  Thabo and Butler on 3s, Ibaka on midrange, Adams and Collison on layups, Perkins on nothing.  You can't just say "create for who, these guys are all useless"...  That's just not how good NBA offenses work.

I think you could admit that creating shots for others and running an offense isn't RW's priority or strong suit.

Why won't he get a better opportunity in the near future? He's only 41 years old.

He just came off a national championship at his alma mater and he has made it clear that UConn is his dream job. He's going to continue to build that program up so I don't see him leaving for the NBA any time soon.

Yeah their not trading him, the only time I ever thought they should attempt to trade Westbrook was when cp wanted out of NO but other than that I like him and they won't do it. If anything they'll keep coming up short and the players will look for other options

Exactly, there's NO advantage for him to leave. Plus if he keeps getting deep in the tourney and wins another he'll be getting paid more than the okc job

If I were Scott Brooks I would just run a lot of Westbrook/Durant pick and rolls. Bound to get an easy shot with the defense forced to commit to one of the two. Would take a lot of pressure of Durant...I know I've seen them do this quite often.

2 top 10 players.. A great 3rd option in ibaka.. Talented young guys.. Familiarity with the organization and the players.. Multiple picks in this upcoming draft.. Hell, even Perkins horrendous deal could be a trade chip next season (since it's the final year)
